Chance's P.O.V
"Aye, on the real though." I chuckle and pull Camilla back gently as she tried to lead me into her house. She laughed quietly and looked up at me, her light brown eyes meeting mine.
"I don't think your dad really likes me all that much." I tell her truthfully as I tuck a stray hair back into her messy bun.
"What? Of course he does!"
I give her a look and she blushed lightly before looking down.
"Don't take it to heart. He doesn't like any guys me or Jazzy bring home. I mean just look at Gavin." She rolled her eyes and I nodded in understanding as my jaw slightly clenched at the sound of his name.
"Yeah, I understand." I mumble.
"Besides, you're my best friend. It's not like we're together or anything." She says quietly.
I catch her mood slightly shift in an opposite direction and lift her face up carefully so she's looking into my eyes once again.
"Exactly. We're best friends and nothing can change that, right?" I whisper.
She nods without a word and gives me a small smile before taking my hand in hers.
"Can we go in now? I'm trying to eat before my food gets cold." She laughs as I roll my eyes playfully and pulls me into her house.
As she leads me to the kitchen, I can't help but look around and admire the place in which she lived. It was huge and decorated nicely.
Deejay would go crazy if he were here.
I smile at all the pictures we pass, they all looked really happy in each and every one.
I know we're getting to the kitchen when the smell of food hits me and multiple voices can be heard.
"Leave me alone Jr!" "That wasn't me!" "Dad Jazzy pushed me!" "No I didn't!" "Mom Xander keeps putting his hands in my face!" "Ow!" "Don't tough me!" "Daddy it wasn't me!" "Oh my God, I wish I was an only child."
We walk in and are instantly greeted with all the chaos.
As soon as they see me though, everything goes quiet and they stare. I stand there awkwardly as Jazzy sends me a bright smile and waves.
I smile lightly and hold my hand up at her in a wave motion and recognition.
"G-guest! O-oh my goodness! Guests, remember? Remember jay jay? Huh? Camilla b-bring friend who is guest in home!" Camilla's mom taps on her dad's chest repeatedly.
"No. I don't remember Camilla bringing any guests." He says to her quietly although his stare never left my face as he glanced from me to Camilla.
"Yeah dad, this is my best friend Chance. Remember?" She lightly glares at him.
He shakes his head lightly with his arms crossed over his chest.
It was silent as everyone stared around at each other.
"Okay w-well food is r-ready! I make plate for C-Camilla friend Chance. You like Spaghetti? Yes or no?" Camilla's mom breaks the silence and directs her question at me as she taps on my arm repeatedly as well.
"Uhh, yes ma'am." I mutter and nod.
She smiled and pulled out a chair. "You sit here! Sit h-here with best friend and baby boy, okay?" She pats the chair before going to the kitchen to make another plate I'm guessing.
"I can help you-" she cuts me off. "No, I's do it all on my own. Thank you though. T-thank you Chance. Camilla's best friend. Thank y-you." Her voice trails off as she leaves the dining area to go into the kitchen.
