Camilla's P.O.V
"So did you feel the same way about me as your sister did?"
I look up from the book I was reading over at my dad who was standing at my door.
I look back down at my book, even though I couldn't read it anymore with him right there.
"I-I'm sorry if I h-hurt your feelings.. I didn't m-mean to. I don't even t-think I said anything to y-you." I mumble the last part, not wanting to make him upset like he was earlier.
"I don't think you did either," he mumbles as he walked in and sat on the edge of my bed.
We sat in silence for a while before he scratched the back of his neck and looked around my room.
"Why is your phone and computer and keys all by the door?" He stares at my belongings I had set on the bean bag chair by the door.
I furrow my eyebrows.
"I thought I was g-grounded?" I ask him quietly.
He chuckled even though nothing was funny and we both knew that, and shook his head lightly.
"You're not grounded sweetheart, your sister is." He looks over at me.
I pick at the edges of my book without saying a word other than, "Oh."
"You got really mad earlier," I whisper.
He sighed and nodded slightly.
"Yeah, I'm sorry y'all had to see that. I didn't want to get upset or anything. I just..." he trailed off.
I watch as he stared at nothing, lost in his own thoughts.
He soon snapped out of it and looked back at me and smiled even though I could tell it was fake.
"Hey, so who's this guy we were talking about?"
I blush and duck my head down so I can hide behind my hair.
"Oh no ma'am, we're not playing this game right now." He joked and made me look back up at him.
"I already told you, he's just a friend I met at Xander's practice. Him and and his little brother Deejay." I tell him honestly, looking right into his eyes the whole time I was talking.
"Good. You're not allowed to get a boyfriend. Ever." He says.
"That's not fair though. Jazzy has a boyfriend." I pointed out.
"And look at him," my dad shakes his head. "I really don't trust that kid and she thinks it's because I don't want her to have a boyfriend and even though that is true, the number one reason is probably because I just get a bad feeling about him." He sighs.
He looks lost in thought again and I call him, snapping him or if his trance.
"Hey, you better get some sleep. You got school tomorrow. Goodnight baby girl," he whispers as he placed a kiss to my forehead and started to make his way out of my room.
He turned the light off and shut the door behind him.
"Goodnight dad..."

I jump awake at the sound of thunder.
