I made a mistake last chapter, the Pierce The Veil song is called A Match Into Water. Sorry bros

"I know I'm only seventeen, but things get rough. When you live in this town and you know you're stuck until you get a car. And even then, you won't get far. Don't get me wrong, it's been a party, but I think I'm passing out." Seventeen, SayWeCanFly

We as high schoolers really aren't that busy, but we like to make it seem as if we are, with our tall coffee cups and bags under our eyes each morning, hoping to find a break. Girls would pound on the make up, taking each detail into account - making sure that she got into the smallest corner that her eyeliner could reach, brushing each and every little eyelash she had. Guys don't have as much. Wake up, shower, do your hair in a way that makes it look like you care for your appearance, but not too much.

I had all the time in the world to think about that and more, because all of the awkward silences were turning our conversation nonexistent. Calum was determined to get down Pete Wentz's bass cords in Ativan Halen, (A/N: Or 7 Minutes In Heaven.) and even after several attempts to get him to shut up, he kept at it. Well... Good for him.

"Are you ready to spill?" Luke sat up straight in the shiny blue plastic chair. The band room wasn't ours officially, of course. It was just that everyone knew that it was where we always were, and to leave it at that. I felt a bit conscious about leaving my drum set there everyday, but where else could I keep it?

I shrugged, replying, "I'm ready if you're ready."

Michael annoyingly chimed in, "God dammit, just say what you have to say."

So I did. Every last detail of it. It was definitely hard to say, but it was worth it. Calum even stopped playing to listen to my words, so that was pretty big. "So bottom line, her parents are skeptical of me, and they want nothing to do with me." I wrapped up, flinging my head back, focusing on how many random spots were on the ceiling.

"If you ever need a place to stay, just call me. I've got an extra bedroom." Luke stated firmly, yet cautiously. "I know what it's like to feel like you're not wanted somewhere."

"Me too," Calum entered. "I mean about the extra bedroom thing."

"Same," Michael nonchalantly sputtered. "But I got three." Which was very expected from Michael.

I chuckled, standing up, and faced them. "Thanks, but no thanks. I don't think I'm going to need the extra bedroom." It wasn't pride I was feeling. It was the overwhelming feeling that I had to rise to the occasion.

"Why not?" Michael questioned.

"I'm determined to sort things out with Callie. I'm not going to just run from this."

"....Good for you, Ashton." Luke stated, standing up and collecting his things. He headed for the door, but just as he reached it, two females push it open: Olivia and Harper. Luke jumped, quickly moving out of their way.

They were in their usual attire - partly dressy, yet casual. Olivia was wearing bright red lipstick, just like I had seen that morning. Harper had her hair pulled back into a sloppy bun, with a diamond studded hair tie. Olivia handed me a folder of papers, and said, "Here. Read and study these. All of them."

I started going through the folder, asking, "And what are all these?"

"You're the drummer, right?" I nodded. "Then read them. You'll be better than before." Olivia smiled, then turned away from me. I looked around, seeing that Michael had his eyes glued on Harper. Harper didn't seem so much of a shy girl - how could she be? - but she didn't seem like someone that would go around guys so often.
