"He stopped me when I was going to tell everyone, told me to wait. we couldn't tell them yet. He was afraid for Toothless.
My anger flared at him again. Was he really choosing this dragon he'd known for weeks over his own people? Could he really be that selfish?
Then something astonishing happened. He turned to me and simply said, "Yes." Strong, clear, resolute. In that single word I glimpsed something in him: just like the dragon emerging from the pit, I saw the man Hiccup would become someday. A leader, a voice of reason, a force to be reckoned with. Seeing that, I immediately deferred to him, trusted him. And, under the moon, still terrified and exhilarated from our adventure, I thought I loved him a little.
My life had just gotten infinitely complicated by this strange feeling. But he was still Hiccup, and I had to show him he didn't have all the power, so I slugged him in the arm. That confused him enough that I felt safe in giving him a quick kiss. It was my first, and, I was certain, his as well. Just a quick peck on his cheek. I turned and ran home."
"I didn't know all this had happened"
"No one did, but thanks ruff it feels a kind of relief telling someone, I've never thought that you had that side of you"
"Me either, I know I'm a lot like my brother, but I'm still a girl"
Hiccup sited there, he didn't want Astrid to stop he just wanted her to continue because he did not thought Astrid considered every single thing like that, and with every word came out from her lips, he loves her even more.
Hiccup snapped from his thoughts,
"... I was gasping in relief and excitement as Toothless and Hiccup sped off to end the battle one way or another. This was Hiccup's destiny, I thought. This was who he was meant to be. As I watched them engage the dragon in an effort to get it in the air, away from the rest of us, I knew that I loved Hiccup. I loved all of him, every silly freckle, every goofy grin, every self-conscious stutter. I loved his heart and his courage and his mind. I loved the man he was going to be as well as the boy he still was."
Hiccup felt his breath stop as he heard Astrid said ' I ' and ' loved him ' in the same sentence.
"Now, I think you got an answer for your question, right?"
"Definitely, but why no one came until now?"
That's When Hiccup remembered why he is here, he decided to go and then come from the other side, just in case.
He landed near the two girls.
First, Astrid said
"What took you so long?"
But she didn't seem angry, then ruff followed
"I'm starving, let's get back T as fast as you could"
The dragon gave a small
"Grouuu" an shot into the clouds"While flying Astrid wrapped her arms around Hiccup waist and she saw him smirking
"What?"was all she said
"Nothing, just nothing" he said looking forward.
