Rain

Astrid was sitting next to her hut's window as the rain falls.
She smiled to herself as she remembered what happened in a day like this.
...Berk had really weird weather.
One moment it'd be raining, the next sunshine. Hail followed by rainbows and then torrential thunderstorms.
Luckily the buildings on the island were sturdy and tough enough to deal with Mother Nature's treatment; the people were the same.
But rain was one thing that always irritated a certain blonde Viking from the village. It made her weapons and armour rust, and the constant plop plop plop from the leaks in her bedroom drove her mad.
It was another one of Berk's crazy rain spells that caught her out one day; one minute she was enjoying the sunshine, and then a massive black cloud had caught her out, right in the middle of a walk. Astrid growled and realised that there wasn't any cover, except for the large oak tree she was near. So she ran for it.
Now she was wet, cold and irritated. Her feet shuffled from side to side as she looked over the view, and then a smile came across her face as she thought about what it was like to see her home from above. It was amazing...
"What are you smiling about?"
Astrid almost jumped out of her skin, stumbling back a step and glancing over at the owner of the voice with a started, wide-eyed look.
"...HICCUP!" She promptly punched the boy on the arm as he grinned at her sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders.
"...Don't do that." Astrid muttered, folding her arms and looking annoyed as Hiccup smirked at her.
"I scared you, didn't I?"
"NO! I just. I was thinking, that's all."
"Yeah right-"
"You've got another arm I can punch, you know!"
Hiccup shut up.
There was a silence, before Astrid shivered violently and sneezed, wrapping her arms around herself with a huff.
"Stupid rain..."
Suddenly she jumped for the second time that day as she felt a pair of arms around her, tugging her against a damp but warm body. Feeling her cheeks go flushed, she looked at Hiccup as he pulled her close, before sighing softly and leaning against him
"Feeling better..." He mumbled as Astrid returned his embrace, wrapping her arms round his waist.
She simply nodded and stayed close to him, a small smile breaking out over her face as she felt his heat seeping into her body, warming her up.
Maybe the rain wasn't so bad after all.
