Hiccup and Astrid

Drunk Vikings

"Come on guys, dad want us to be at berk as soon as possible"
Hiccup told them
"Remind me why we have to go again"
"Tuff, for the last time, dad is going to throw a party to celebrate berk's three years peace and he wants us there because we are a part of making it" Hiccup explained
They mounted their dragons and made their way toward berk.
While flying, the little group saw a dragon coming their way, it was Heather, she told them that she came to visit them at the edge, so they invited her to the celebration.
Once they were there, the celebration began at the great Hall, the boys including Hiccup set up a drinking competition, who drink most, is the winner of all the others desalination.
The three girls has their own table, enjoying the party and talking about different stuff
"Can you believe it, peace for a whole three years?" Ruff said
"And that's not the weirdest part, that peace is because of Hiccup"
Astrid stated
"Did I miss something, what you mean by because of Hiccup" Heather asked
"He trained the dragons, you already know that"
"And he finished the war between Vikings and dragons"
"And the one who ended the war with Dagger"
"And who made our life better"
"And he always saying that is all toothless and not him"
"Forgetting that he was the one who tamed it"
"And leaded it to do what both of them does"
Astrid exchanged speeches with Ruffnut to explain to Heather.
"Speaking of Hiccup, where is he, and where are the others?"
Astrid and Ruff turned to the table their friends were sitting in a few minutes before, only to see a pile of empty mugs.
"Oh No, they must got drunk"
"Come on, let's find them before they got themselves into troubles"
"Ruff, you go find your brother and snotlout, Heather you find fishlegs and will look for Hiccup"
And by that the girls started searching.
Heather found fishlegs surrounded by a group of kids listening to him telling them the story of how he saved every one from a giant scauldren, or the time when he became Thor bone crusher, and she smiled.
Ruff found Tuff and snotlout dancing, and she went dancing with them.
As for Astrid, she didn't have any luck in finding Hiccup, it was almost midnight when she heard a small crowd cheering Hiccup's name.
She went to the sound direction to find Hiccup standing on a table singing and dancing
" I have my sword
And my flight suit                                         I wear one boot
'Cause I've lost my foot
I'm a Viking through and through"
When he saw Astrid he looked at her
"Hey Astrid, where have you been, you're just in time, you are involved in my next song"
And he started singing again
"I have toothless 
Who's a Night Fury
And Astrid
Called Divine beauty
I'm a rider through and through"
She pulled him down
"Hiccup, get down here and stop making a fool out of yourself"
"I'm just having some fun"
"There is No more fun, you have to go to sleep"
"Now you started to sound like my mother, I'm not going anywhere"
He said and turned around and crossed his arms
"And now you started to sound like a little kid, come on we have to g--"
He cut her of by placing his lips on hers, he was kissing her and she didn't believe it until he pulled away and lifted her up by her waist, spinning her around and placing her down to her feet carefully then holding her in a tight embrace.
Astrid stood there shocked by what happened, just until she felt hot tears on her neck and heard him saying
"I miss her, I miss my mother"
She felt her heart sunk as she heard that
"But, at least I have you to make it up for me"
He said as she wrapped her arms around him
"Thank you" was all what he said before kissing her neck.
"Hiccup...Hiccup.."
She called his name when she felt his arm loosening only to get silence in return, she turned her head to see him sleeping, resting his head on her shoulder.
She smiled a bit as she took his hand an placed his arm around her shoulders and hers around his waist and moving to the closest table.
Astrid placed him on the long chair and she sat putting his head on her lap
"Oh, Hiccup".
Heather stayed with the kids hearing fishlegs' bluffing as he slowly fell asleep as well.
She saw Astrid sitting, moving her hand on Hiccup's hair and she went to sat beside her.
She noticed that Astrid had a tear that slid down her cheek
"Astrid, are you okay?"
Astrid didn't notice her friend sitting beside her and wiped the tear off her eye
"It's nothing"
"I know it's not nothing Astrid, so tell me"
"It's him"
She said looking at Hiccup
"What is about him?"
"His mother is dead a long time ago and he hugged me and tears slid down his cheek telling me that he is missing her, and that wasn't the only time he tells me about it"
"Oh.." was all what Heather said.
A long silence set until Heather broke it
"At least he has you"
"That's exactly what he sai--"
Astrid covered her mouth when those words left her lips
"He said that to you, oh my God, do you know what that mean"
"It doesn't mean anything, he was drunk, remember"
"Don't pretend that nothing had happened, I saw every single thing"
"As I told you he was drunk, I mean if another girl was beside him, he would kiss her"
"Like the pile of girls who stood there wishing a single look from him"
"Heather.."
"He kissed you and...."
"Believe what you want"
"I will, and just for you to know, drunk people sometimes do the thing they truly want to do and say the things that it's really true and they can't do or say"
"Fine, maybe, and I said maybe he was saying the truth"
"What did he say?"
"He told me that he is glad that I'm here to make it up for him"
"He loves you"
"I know that, always have, always will"
"He's the weirdest person I have ever met, you can never expect what he would do"
"And that's why he is special"
Heather stood up and made her way out the giant doors.
When Astrid was sure no one was looking she placed her lips on Hiccup's cheek, making him open his eyes and look at her with a smile and fall back to sleep.
Heather came back with some blankets she gave one to Astrid and placed the other on the sleeping Hiccup before saying goodnight.
Astrid took one last look at Hiccup and she gave up to a soundly sleep.
