Another peaceful day in the edge
... Well it was, until two teenagers came along.
"I can't believe you actually discussed what you most like in me is with those muttonheads, Hiccup!"
Astrid's face was livid as she stormed up the hill, arms swinging angrily by her sides. Hiccup was stumbling after her, his face a bright red colour after he'd been found by her whilst having a conversation with Snotlout and the twins. Unfortunately, she'd caught him saying exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time.
"No, A-Astrid it's not what you think!"
Astrid paused, turning on her heel and giving him such a glare that it caused him to reel backwards a few steps, his expression dismayed.
"Don't lie, I heard you! I heard that dumb idiot Snotlout ask you that question and then you replied!" She prodded at Hiccup's chest sharply, blue eyes narrowing as she studied his face.
"Yes but- wait, you didn't hear me reply?"
Astrid paused before glaring at him again.
"No, but, I heard them laughing!"
She was about to storm off again when she felt him grab her wrist gently, pulling her back.
"Astrid... listen to me."
"I am not listening to anything you have to say, Hiccup!"
"Astrid, please! Please..."
He kept his hold on her as she tried to pull away, wrapping his arms round her and making the girl fluster as he pulled her in a hug to calm her down before placing one of his blushing cheeks against hers.
"I said that I didn't have a favourite part of you, everything in you is perfect... But if I had to choose... it'd be your eyes." Hiccup mumbled as he loosened his grip on her, his shyness taking over as he stumbled back; only to be pulled into another embrace as Astrid turned to face him.
"Why my eyes?"
She found herself nose to nose with him, watching as his eyes widened, then softened under her gaze.
"They're just... They remind me of so many beautiful things... Like the sky, and the ocean..."
He trailed off as he realised how stupid he must be sounding, only to let out a surprised noise as her lips met his in a quick but soft kiss.
"I think your eyes are my favourite part of you, Hiccup. If I had to choose, that is."
Astrid smiled at him once she pulled away, watching his face light up into a questioning look.
"Why, what do they remind you of?" Hiccup asked, studying her face.
"They don't remind me of anything. They're just full of... you. Just you."
The blonde gave him a mysterious smile as she pulled away from him, watching as his expression turned confused.
"That's not a proper answer!"
"Yes it is." Astrid paused before glancing back at him over her shoulder and running away."What I'm going to do with that dork"
Astrid said looking at Hiccup who was smiling like an idiot, also smiling.
