Hiccup and Astrid

big misunderstanding pt2

Hiccup tossed and turned in his bed. He couldn't believe it. He loved Astrid so much… so much he kept thinking that she would appear at the door. His heart actually ached.
Hiccup had to apologize. Had to. Even that he didn't know what his mistake was, but he kept feeling that he had to apologize Or else.. or else he wouldn't feel whole again. Astrid was a part of him. His life, his world, his heart.
But of course, that wasn't an option, Astrid hates him, he was out of her life forever.

On the other hand, Astrid felt horrible, she regretted it. A lot. Regretted how she treated him, regretted how she ignored him. Through the night she remembered her memories, the memories of her and Hiccup. By the time she fell asleep, she made up her mind to apologize.
That was a week ago, she realized that even if she went back to berk, he will do his best to stay away from her, so she decided to stay put.
Astrid was flying through the blue sky with her Deadly Nadder, deep in thoughts, until she heard a familiar scream.
"DRAGON RIDER!!"
A dragon Hunter ship with hunters aiming their weapon toward her.
Astrid and stormfly started to get a bit ahead of themselves and started getting rather too close to the boat. Stormfly begun shooting spine shots, and before she knew it, a dragon hunter arrow shot into the dragon.
The last thing Astrid knew was smashing into the sea and everything going black.

The hunters got Stormfly out of the water putting her in a cage.
They got Astrid too
"Look what we got here, Viggo will be absolutely happy to know we got these two. Put her with the boy"
A little thing to know, Hiccup also was wondering through berk shores, all alone, and they had plan to capture him, and indeed they did.
Hiccup was sitting in his cell when he heard the door open
"You have company" he heard the guard say before seeing him throw a limp body beside him.
Hiccup recognized it and soon enough knew to whom it belongs.
Astrid.
Hiccup hurried to her side, examining her for any injuries, but he sighed in relief when he was sure she was fine.
He spotted a small cut on the back of her hand.
He sighed before ripping a part of his right sleeve and wrapping it around her hand than he helped her to a sitting position and wrapping the blanket that was beside him around her.
Hiccup backed away knowing Astrid wouldn't be pleased if she saw him.
"The gods hates me"
He mumbled to himself.
He looked to the cell across from his and saw Stormfly.
He was thinking of a way to get out when he saw Astrid stirring.
Astrid woke up to find herself treated well, she was sure that the hunters would never help her.
She took a look around until she saw a figure with auburn messy hair, forest green eyes and a metal leg sitting in the other side of the room.
She felt the leather covering her hand, and she knew it was a part of his shirt.
Astrid made her way toward him.
Hiccup lifted his gaze and saw her, he stood up as well a bit dazed, but as soon as he did, he received a slap from the girl in front of him, it didn't hurt, but it was strong enough to get him out of his daze.
"Don't you ever stay away from me that long again!" Was all she said throwing herself in his arms.
He was a bit taken aback by her action, but he wrapped his arm around her, burying his face in her shoulder.
"Sorry, but I thought that was what you wanted"
"No it's not what I wanted, it's just a big mistake of mine and I'm so sorry"
"It's okay, people make mistakes always, that what make us humans,"
"I'm sorry for hurting you Hiccup, I'm sorry for making you feel unwanted, I'm sorry for shouting at you, I'm sorry for treating you badly, I'm sorry about Never giving you a chance to explain anything, I'm so sorry for everything, I think that I should stay away from you, for your sake"
She was crying when she finished her little speech. Hiccup didn't know what to say, he just pulled her in a tight embrace.
"Astrid, please don't cry, I would never be happy without you in my life"
Astrid was sobbing uncontrollably and Hiccup didn't know what to do until he begun singing a song while rubbing her back gently. Astrid found his voice quite nice, it was soft and gentle in a way, it made her feel better until she begun focusing on the words.
"I love it when you just don't care
I love it when you handle yourself out there
M'lady if thing gets hard don't be afraid
We don't care what them people say
I love it when you don't take no"
Astrid chuckled at this part.
"I love it when you do what you want cause you just said so

Astrid was really feeling better as she pulled away from the hug smiling.
"There's the beautiful smile that I love" Hiccup said kissing her forehead.
Astrid giggled a bit before punching his arm
"That's for making up songs"
She then grabbed him by the collar connecting their lips
"And that's because I love it"
They smiled at each other.
"Now, we have to find a way to get out, any ideas?"
Astrid shook her head.
Hiccup rubbed his chin thinking, he looked at the guards at the room's door then he turned to Astrid.
"I got an idea"
"What is it?"
"You better not know"
Astrid was confused, she saw him heading to the cell door calling for the guards who came to see what is it.
Hiccup than turned to Astrid who had no idea what's going on.
"Astrid, you are not going to like what I'm about to do, but it's our only way out,so please please don't kill me"
Her confuse grow more, thinking about what he will do
"Wha-" she stopped in mid-sentence when he pinned her to the wall and started kissing her, she was shocked.
"What are you doing?!" Hiccup heard the guards say opening the door, he let go of Astrid, knocking the guards out, having their keys and taking Astrid's hand and pulling her with him.
He went toward Stormfly's cage, he opened the door allowing the dragon to get out.
Hiccup mounted Stormfly along with Astrid who wrapped her arms around his waist and took off to the night sky.
"Wooohooo we made it" Hiccup said throwing his arm in the air.
Astrid hit the back of his head from behind
"What kind of a plan was that?!"
"It doesn't matter, we're fine, you're fine, and that's what's important to me"
Astrid smiled with her cheeks turning slightly pink.
"Now we have to go back to berk toothless might be worried, it looks like it's gonna rain"

Back at berk, Hiccup went to find his Night Furry, while Astrid headed to a cliff at the end of the forest, a place she visit when she want to stay alone with her dragon.

"I can't believe Hiccup just forgave me that easy? Honestly..." The dragon only gave a screech in return as they landed, wings flapping as her owner slid from her back, squinting as she glanced out at the neverending sea.
"I mean, Hiccup's just... different. He's not like anyone in this village, maybe that's why I..." Astrid trailed off with a light blush on her cheeks, glancing up into a pair of yellow eyes.
"...Yeah."
The blonde sighed as she reached up with her hand to give her dragon's chin a scratch, smiling a bit as Stormfly gave a contented noise, leaning into her touch.
"Hmm, looks like rain is..." Even before the words were out of her mouth, small wet splatters began spotting on the dragon's scales.
"Oh brilliant."
The Viking scowled at the sky in annoyance before rushing under the shelter of her dragon's wings.
"Hmm, I wonder what a kiss in the rain would be like..."
Astrid's gaze settled outside and she muttered the words without even thinking about it, letting her more feminine side take over as she contemplated the words.
"Do you want to find out?"
Astrid's eyes widened as a voice suddenly came from nowhere and then Hiccup came into the tent-like space underneath the dragon's wings beside her.
"Hiccup! Don't sneak out on me like that! And where is toothless?"
"He's fine, don't worry"
She stared as he grinned at her sheepishly before frowning, going red and folding her arms with an irritable look.
There was a silence between them in which only the rain outside could be heard, before Hiccup grabbed Astrid's hand and dragged her with him.
She followed him out into the rain. They stood there and he held her hands.
"So..." His breath caught in his throat as Astrid paused an inch away from his lips, her breath softly tickling his mouth.
"So...?" She murmured as she looked deep into his eyes.
Hiccup smiled softly at her and he kissed her straight on the lips, pulling her damp body closer and shivering as wet droplets slid down their faces.
They pulled away after a moment
"You're wish is my command, M'lady"
Astrid chuckled letting go of his hands,
"So we're good Now?"
"Aren't we always?"
They held each other in a tight hug.
Astrid smiled to herself.

This moment was worth everything.
