Hiccup went back to berk and he left Astrid in charge of everyone, it's not like he had another decision, she still scare him with her death glares.
Anyway, Astrid entered his hut to look for a map and she found the place too messy to search for anything.
She sighed and started cleaning the room, suddenly she found a book under his pillow and being the curious person she was, she wanted to know what it was.
After reading some pages, Astrid knew it was a dairy:
' today, the twins destroyed my hut....'
' today, snoutlout tried to break my face, but ended up with a broken face...'
' today, I almost got myself killed...'
Astrid found it adorable that Hiccup keeps a dairy.
She turned another page and she saw her name.
"No one must see this, especially Astrid, but I don't know what to think of you.
Well, this is awkward. Okay, it's not so much now, but it's gonna be the next time you see me after you've read this, not that you are going to.
So, Astrid, Astrid, Astrid. I really like that name, by the way. I know you would probably hate to hear this, and you're going to hit me for it, but it gives you a little more feminine touch to your fierce warrior demeanor. Alright, let me just get this straight, this isn't supposed to be some sort of love dairy, because that's just a little weird. Not that I don't really like you and all, I just didn't think you liked that sort of stuff. Anyways, I'll just continue making a fool of myself.
You're a hard face to decipher. What I mean is, you're a difficult person to read. It's good that you don't let your emotions compromise the task at hand, which I apparently have the tendency to do, but it's an admiral and enviable trait. I honestly never thought you would even take a second look at me and think anything important of me. I assumed you always have and you always will hate me, I mean, everyone did for a while. I guess change starts with one opinion, one strong will, then gradually grows and infects the hearts and minds of others. For a while I've wanted to ask you certain questions, and even though I have asked a few here and there I never really got a clear definable answer.
A while back, when everyone captured Toothless, I asked you a question, but I wasn't really sure why you answered it the way you did or what you even mean by it. Your sudden positive interest in the situation was a little surprising, and I asked you why you all of a sudden cared. You told me it was because you wanted to remember what I had to say that very moment. I've always wanted to know, why was that so important to you? At first I just thought you wanted me to admit my weakness and stupidity to your face so that you could get a good laugh from it, but like I said, you don't let your emotions compromise the task at hand.
This is one thing about you I've never really understood. I didn't think it would be that simple to completely change your outlook on something you've believed so passionately for so long. You've fought dragons your whole life, you were ready to take on the responsibility of becoming a soldier in our parents' war. Was one flight really all it took to make you change your mind about everything? Because after that you really changed your mind about…everything. One minute you want to kill me and then the next you grab me and hold me in a kiss! I just find this all so weird because I never imagined a side of you like that existed. And for the record, I am still completely and utterly shocked that you were the one to kiss me first. It's so much change in so short a time frame that it's just a little confusing to me still. You don't have to try and explain anything that you don't want to, I know how much fun it is to watch me suffer. But anyway, this has just been on my mind, I thought maybe you could clear it up for me. You have a way with working things out.
I wish I could tell you that, but I'm not strong enough to."

A small smile appeared in her lips.
"I'm going to answer all your questions"
