A/N: The next part is up! I really hope you are enjoying it so far:) have an amazing day:)
When Edmund, Sasha and Arkin went into the infirmary door, Raya the dwarf looked at them surprised.
She frowned when she seen the blood dripping from Sasha's collar bone. "I stitched you up for an injury not even twelve hours ago and you're back with another?" She spoke shaking her head at Sasha.
"I missed you" Sasha smiled causing Raya to tilt her head and frown.
Raya noticed King Edmund stand beside Sasha and she bowed respectfully. She walked over to the King when she noticed him holding his wrist.
"What happened, my king" Raya asked in a worried tone which made Sasha roll her eyes. Why does he get special treatment?
"Fighting accident" Edmund said as he gave a subtle glance to Sasha.
"Come over take a seat, sire" Raya said pulling him along to the dentist looking chair.
"What? I'm bleeding and might need stitches but he has a sore wrist and he gets seen to first?" Sasha gawped feeling highly irritated, she got annoyed even more when she seen Edmund smirk.
"No offence child but King Edmund is more important" Raya grunted as she held his wrist and slowly moved it.
"Okay I'll just bleed to death here" Sasha scoffed as she stood staring at them.
"Don't be so over dramatic" Edmund rolled his eyes at Sasha who just made a face at him. He wanted to laugh at her foolishness but he didn't. Something inside him stopped him and he wasn't sure why it did.
"Nothing is broken, thankfully. I suspect there will be some bruising because whatever it was it was a hard impact. Actually if the the force of the impact was any harder your wrist would've broke." Raya explained as she examined the wrist. Edmund looked at Sasha who had an annoying smirk on her face, she looked proud. "I suggest you take it easy for a few days as your wrist will become sensitive because of the bruising." Raya told the king before she rummaged through her drawers looking for a bandage. When she found some she made a sling for the King's wrist.
After she was done the King moved off the chair so Sasha could sit. Raya knew straight away that she needed stitches.
"Your highness" Raya said as she looked at Edmund. He looked at her signalling he was listening. "This girl needs stitches and from past experience she's a bit difficult to handle. If it's not too much to ask do you mind holding her down or at least distracting her?" Raya asked and Edmund hesitated before dragging a seat to the opposite side of where Raya was standing.
Sasha looked nervously at Raya as she prepared the needle and thread.
"Hey, don't look at it" Edmund said trying to be comforting but instead his voice sounded monotone.
"You know that's kind of difficult since I know it's about to bring me pain" Sasha said as she looked at the King. He gave her a quick frown.
Raya leaned forward to get closer to Sasha's collar bone but Sasha pushed herself away from her, she grabbed Edmund's arm, thankfully his good arm, for support as half her body was off the chair.
"Please just let me stitch you up, it'll be over before you know it." Raya groaned in annoyance as she wiped Sasha's collar bone with a wet cloth.
"Just sit still" Edmund groaned as he pushed her back onto the chair. She began to push him away so he placed both her hands on her stomach and he held them both down with his good hand while he used his injured arm to push her chest down.
Sasha stared at where his injured arm was placed and then she looked at him raising her eyebrow "watch where you put your arm" Sasha said to Edmund who moved his arm awkwardly further up her chest away from her breasts.
"Happy?" Edmund said sarcastically.
"Yes but I'm not sure you are" she said with a cheeky smile.
"Shut up" Edmund shook his head.
Raya got the needle and thread ready and Sasha watched as the needle got close to her skin.
Edmund felt her hands tensing under his and he looked at her, her eyes fixed on the needle weaving in and out her skin.
"How did you learn to fight like that today?" Edmund asked as he tried to distract her.
Sasha looked at him and she frowned at the pain. "I was taught that it's important to defend myself" she said gritting her teeth.
She suddenly grabbed Edmund's hand with both of hers and squeezed it. Edmund was surprise at the sudden contact but he let her squeeze his hand.
"That sounds reasonable" Edmund said looking at their hands for a moment or two and then back to her face.
Her eyes were already on his. Edmund noticed that same glint of fear and worry in her eyes that he'd seen at breakfast. "Yeah I suppose" she mumbled and Edmund frowned slightly. "Are you saying I'm a good fighter?" Sasha tried to smirk but she then gritted her teeth as the dwarf continued to, in Sasha's opinion, stitch her wound harshly.
"Well you're not a bad fighter" Edmund said truthfully.
"Did you know that Raya" Sasha said turning her head to the dwarf. "I bet the King in a fight" Sasha said proudly.
"Well done" she mumbled not really paying any attention to Sasha.
Sasha turned her head back to the young King with a smile and he made a face at her.
"Okay, that's you done. Now please be more careful from now on" Raya said as she cut the thread and she then taped a bandage over the stitched up wound.
"Aww you care about me" Sasha laughed but Raya just looked at her.
"No, you're a nightmare Miss Sasha" she said half-seriously half-joking and Sasha had an amused smile on her face.
As Raya left the girl, after bowing to the King, Sasha realised that she still had a firm grip on the Kings hand. She quickly let go and when he noticed that too he stood up quickly. He thanked Raya for seeing to his injury before leaving the infirmary.
Sasha watched him leave before her eyes fell onto Arkin who was sitting patiently at the door.
"Come miss Sasha, you need to get ready for the party tonight" Arkin said as he stood up. Sasha nodded and as she left the infirmary with Arkin beside her she thanked Raya kindly.
