A/N: Sorry for the slow update, I've been focused on spending time with my family. Well school starts tomorrow so I'll probably go cry until I have to actually walk into the prison:/ I hope you enjoy this part and have an amazing day:)
The young King made his way into the big lounge room where he sat to relax. His injured arm was giving him discomfort as he hit it off the ground when Sasha tripped him up in their training session. He never noticed it at the time as he was distracted but now it was extremely sensitive and all he wanted was to lie in front of a fire and take it easy.
However that wasn't the case as his two sisters and Annabella were already in the lounge room on the couch in front of the fire. He mentally sighed as he put on a fake smile. Peter told him he had to make a good impression on Lady Annabella, despite him not wanting to, he made a promise to his older brother that he would.
"You can sit in my spot Ed" Lucy said as she got up from her space beside Annabella. "I'm just going to go check on Sasha and invite her to join us" Lucy further explained as she walked past her brother. Edmund nodded as he took a seat next to Annabella.
The heat from the fire immediately covered Edmund's body and already it felt soothing and relaxing, all he wanted to do was sprawl out and sleep peacefully.
But then Annabella began to speak. "You look exhausted King Edmund" she spoke softly with an amused smile. "It's not even afternoon yet" she added with a chuckle.
"I was training Sasha how to fight with a sword" Edmund answered sitting up straighter as he looked at Annabella.
"What an unusual girl she is" she said with a snigger.
"Sasha is quite unusual, in a good way though, I find her rather interesting" Edmund spoke with a casual tone. He looked to his older sister who had her eyebrows raised high enough to be touching her hair line.
Annabella's facial expression was not impressed at all. Even though she was smiling and to Susan she probably looked normal and innocent but Edmund could see the burning rage in her eyes. He had a gift of being able to do that, read people's emotions.
All Edmund did was look at Annabella with a wry smile but she didn't notice the mimicking look.
Annabella's attention turn to the doorway and her smile brightened. Edmund looked to the door to see Peter, he gave his brother a nod who returned with a smile. Edmund rose from his seat and offered it to Peter and though he subtly gave Edmund a look of annoyance of the fact the it seemed he wasn't trying to make a good impression on Annabella. Nonetheless Peter sat next to Lady Annabella and Edmund made his way to the other couch that was opposite the couch that everyone else was sat on.
He sat on the side that was the closest to the fire and now he was at peace, well until he noticed that Susan was staring at him. But she slowly looked away when she seen that there was more company at the door. Edmund didn't mind this company at all as he noticed it was Sasha and his little sister. Sasha's hair was wet so Edmund figured that she must've just got out of the bath.
She took her place next to Edmund and Lucy was sat beside her. Sasha's eyes closed blissfully when the heat of the fire washed over her and she leaned right back against the couch and she turned her head to Edmund.
"Training is really exhausting" she chuckled slightly and a small smile appeared onto the young king's face.
"It is indeed... do you still want to continue the training?" He asked double checking in case the realisation of exhaustion and sore limbs she will get if she continues it.
"Of course, I love it. You're a good teacher" she complimented and Edmund's eyebrow arched.
"Was that a compliment, miss Sasha? When did you get so nice?" He said with an amused smile mimicking her from earlier.
