She gripped the dagger tighter as she started towards Annabella until she was right in front of her. She used her foot to push her so she was on her back, still holding into her stomach. Sasha knelt down, digging her knee into the side of her neck so she stays put. Anger flashed through her eyes as she brought the dagger high, he nostrils flared and she breathed heavily.
"This-" Sasha seethed, "this is for Arkin!"
And she pierced the blade down.
"Sasha."
***
That voice, she'd remembered it so vividly. She was frozen, the blade still tightly in her grasp with it only being a few inches from Annabella's chest. She peered up, looking at who had spoken her name.
"Aslan," she gasped, recalling the lions name from the last time he visited her.
"You've grown since the last time we met, not physically, but you've grown stronger," he purred as he tilted his head, "much like a soldier,"
This made Sasha feel triumphant but she frowned slightly. "Why are you here, now?" She asked the lingered question.
"Once again you face a decision," he started gently towards Sasha, "do you take this telmarines life?-"
"I am a Lady who has a people-"
"Don't interrupt me, telmarine." His voice was stern and it cause Annabella to shut up immediately. "Do you take her life?", be began again, "or do you let her keep it?"
Sasha stared at the great lion, almost dumbfounded as she of course wanted to take Annabella's life.
"She killed a friend. Arkin was a Narnian soldier, he was the right hand man to King Edmund. I'd make her suffer considerably more if I kept her alive, she should be thanking me."
Aslan was quiet for a moment before nodding. "I feel that it's important for forgiveness to be considered, and even though you have not considered this, you feel this is the right thing to do, I hope your decision does not have consequences."
He went to turn away but Sasha blurted, "this May have a consequence but, I've considered the affect it'll have on Narnia and I've decided that without Annabella the land will benefit greatly. This may involve getting revenge for Arkin but I've took my new home into thought, and now that I live here, now that this place has someone that I love here, a people that I love, then all my decision will be based off of how it'll benefit Narnia," Aslan listened intently, "and I'll take care of any consequences this may bring,"
With that, Aslan nodded softly and turned away again. "Like I said, you've grown strong, soldier." And then he was gone.
Sasha quickly focused back on Annabella who tried to get free, immediately stopping her by plunging the dagger into her chest. Killing her.
She shared at the body for a moment or two, this was her first kill, and even though she did have this pang of guilt. She also felt lighter, as if all her frustrations had just left her body as she plunged the blade into Annabellas chest.
As she got up, she didn't notice the small crowd that had gathered, the pevensie's at the front of the crowd. Her eyes landed on Edmunds first, she's instinctively checked for any injuries, thankfully he looked fine.
Once she reached them she bowed politely. "Annabella is dead."
Peter smiled and turned around, he punched the air and yelled, "ANNABELLA HAS BEEN KILLED, THE BATTLE IS OVER. NARNIANS HAVE VICTORY!!!"
