A/N: hey! I decided to update since I have a free moment. My prelims are almost over, I have 4 more to go and then I'll be stress free for a little while:) anyway, I hope you's enjoy this part and have an amazing day:))

Pacing back and forth in front of the cell bars in the dark dungeons of Cair Paravel, the Young King breathed heavily.

"SHE COULD BE DEAD!" The Young King roared as he hit his hands against the steel bars causing them to make a loud ringing noise.

Saying that Edmund was furious was an understatement. His eyes were dark and a raging fire burned within them. His frown was so prominent and his voice was sharp.

Arkin whimpered in the corner. He drew himself in to a small ball and held his head low. His ears drooping down and his eyes avoiding any contact with Edmund's.

Arkin had no words. Despite him not wanting to hurt Sasha and the whole thing being forced on him, he knew he couldn't tell Edmund the truth. Not if he wants to live.

"Where- where is she?" Arkin whispered in a frightful tone. His voice was broken and each breath he drew in caused a shooting pain in his chest.

Edmund glared at him for a moment. "You suddenly care?" He spat. Arkin never answered, he cares so much but anything he'll say will make things worse. "Sasha was taken to Raya's infirmary. Lucy's cordial hasn't worked for some reason." Edmund spoke hesitantly. His voice softened ever so slightly.

Arkin's heart sunk when he heard those words.

"I didn't... I didn't want to do it" Arkin whimpered as he slowly looked up at the King.

"But you did." Edmund spoke bluntly. "I've trusted you for all these years. Trusted you with personal information and I've helped you. To repay me you attack someone who I-," Edmund paused as he looked at the ground. A weird pain shot through his heart. "Someone who I care about. I wish I was dreaming, Arkin. I really do." Edmund shook his head as he turned his back in Arkin.

Arkin looked down to the floor and with that Edmund turned his back to leave.

Edmund stopped walked as he got to the stairs. He twisted his head over his shoulder and looked at the cell from the corner of his eye. The same dark frown was printed on his face and it terrified Arkin. The wolf knew what happens to people who get on the wrong side of The Young King. He's witnessed what happens to the people who are behind these steel bars and now he's one of them people.

"If- if Sasha survives I will have your sentence reduced because you were a loyal soldier, a good friend," he spoke quietly. "But if she dies," his voice became dark. "I will do your execution myself." With his words made clear, Edmund left and started towards the infirmary.

His heart beat fast as he neared the infirmary. What if he walks in and finds that she can't be saved? She can't die. She can't.

Edmund stood outside the infirmary and tried to control his breathing. His hand hovered over the handle for a few moments before he finally went in.

There was blood everywhere. She's lost a lot. Her arm was nearly stitch up but her skin was white.

Edmund's heart sunk at the sight.

His little sister was sat on the other side of Sasha's. Edmund could head her sniffles. Lucy was speaking to Sasha telling her not to go.

"You can't go yet. You only just arrived here. Oh Sasha, you've made everyone so happy. Especially Edmund." Lucy sniffles as she grabbed Sasha's hand "You didn't even know what he was like before you arrived. He was so down and unhappy but then you came and he just brightened" Lucy was quiet for a few moments. "He needs you, Sasha. We all do"

Edmund approached Lucy and put his hands on her shoulders gently. She jumped slightly before looking up at him. Her eyes were red and she leaned her head against his chest.

"I gave her another drop out of my cordial just in case. I hope she survives" Lucy sighed anxiously as she looked at Sasha.

"It's lucky she's asleep though, if she was awake right now she'd be freaking out because of getting stitches. Last time she annoyed Raya a lot." Edmund chuckled as he thought back to when they had a spar. He wanted to be positive, he knew if he was in Sasha's position that she would be being positive.

Lucy also chuckled at the thought of that day. She was the only person brave enough to put Edmund in his place. That's why she's so good for him.

Raya sighed as she finished cleaning off her arm. "Your majesties, she's lost a lot of blood but if the healing cordial begins to work then she should be fine. But for now I think we should leave her for now." Raya stated.

Lucy agreed and got up and after a few moments of checking Sasha, she left.

Edmund stayed and stared at Sasha. She looked so peaceful. "King Edmund..." Raya spoke softly.

"I'm not leaving her. I can't" Edmund's voice was quiet and soft.

Raya nodded and left the room, leaving Edmund and Sasha alone.

He slowly approached the edge of the bed and sat on the seat that Lucy was previously in. His thoughts were out of control for a moment or two. He didn't know how to process all these emotions: Anger, hatred, sadness and... emptiness.

He didn't understand why Arkin would do this. Why he felt the need to attack, to try to kill someone so -

Someone so beautiful.

Edmund stared at, to what seemed to be, her lifeless figure. Her breathing was faint and sometimes Edmund had to freeze to make sure he could still hear her faint breaths.

He lifted his large hand and wrapped it around her small and delicate one. He traced her smooth pink skin with the tip of his finger. He intertwined his long fingers with her small feminine fingers.

"If only you knew what you do to me, Sasha. How you make me feel. You have such this strong power over me and you don't even know it," he sighed deeply as he lay his other hand on top of their intwined hands. "Besides, you can't leave yet. We've made promises, like you said: you can never break a pinky promise" A small sad smile curved a long his lips.

A tear fell from his eye and landed on her skin. He watched as the tear slid down her pink hand and he slowly rubbed it off with his thumb.

The room was silent as he stared at her hand. His eyebrows slowly lifted as he looked at her pink coloured hand. Not white.

He lifted his head quickly to see her rosy cheeks and plump pink lips. The colour was coming back to her.

He tried to calm his excited beating heart as he listened to her breathing. It was clear, peaceful and even. A large grin grew on his face as he gave her hand a slight squeeze.

She's going to be okay. She's alright.

Sasha's alive.
