A/N: Hello!! It's 2am and I decided to post because I got inspiration. Well, I decided to do something while I waited for the bts outcast au to be posted (if you know what that is pls let me know!!)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this part and have a good day!:)
The warm sun reflected off of the crystal blue sea on the beach of Cair Paravel. There wasn't a bit of wind or any cloud in sight. It was a lovely day, beautiful in fact.
The lovely weather and amazing scenery was a change to Sasha. A warm day in Summer was rare in Scotland, which is where she is from. So it's obvious that she would want to spend her time outside, soaking up the rays of sun. Her plan was to go outside before breakfast, she thought it would be refreshing.
However, Arkin didn't turn up at his usual time. He always comes early so they can have a little conversation but he was late today. This didn't bother Sasha though. She had the whole day to go outside, perhaps she might invite Edmund to go with her later. But the longer she waited for Arkin, the more impatient she got.
Where is he?
She wanted to just leave and go to the breakfast hall herself but she knew that wasn't wise. Nobody is allowed to wander about the castle their self.
But as she began to feel more hungrier by the second she decided to just head on herself.
The corridors were deserted. Not a person in sight. She felt unsettled because of the silence. She sped up her walking pace as the uneasy feeling increased. The Kings and Queens has stated that the Telmarine guards were not safe, and that's all she could think of right now.
She was relieved when she seen two Narnian guards standing outside of the hall where she is to have breakfast. The guards opened the door for her as she went in and because of her late arrival, everyone was already eating.
"Ah, Sasha. We would've waited but you took too long" Peter explained as he took a drink from his cup.
"It's okay. I was waiting on Arkin but he didn't show up" she said as she looked around the room for him before taking a seat next to Susan. Across from her was Edmund who was sat beside Lady Annabella.
Lady Annabella stared at her. There was a mix of emotions in her eyes and facial expression. She was confused, disappointed and angry. As if she was expecting Sasha never to appear.
Sasha, however, ignored her stare as she was used to it from her. As Sasha plated up her food she looked up to Edmund. They made eye contact at the same time. "Have you seen Arkin?" She asked him softly.
He shook his head. "Not since our training" Edmund replied. He then remembered their moment they had, it sent butterflies to go flying around his stomach.
As Sasha was finishing up her breakfast the hall doors opened. And in came Arkin.
He looked terrible. His head was drooped low to the ground and he dragged his paws when he walked, you could hear his claws scraping along the floor. His fur was messy and unclean. And his eyes were big and sad.
"Arkin, are you okay?" Lucy asked worriedly as the wolf came closer to the table.
Edmund watched him closely. This is not like Arkin at all. He's a well kept wolf who never stresses over anything. The fact that he didn't bother to answer the Young Queen worried Edmund even more.
