A/N: Hey! Here is another part:) I hope you enjoy and have an amazing day x
When Edmund was walking down to the room where he usually has breakfast he was thinking about last night with Sasha. He sees that horrific look in her eyes when anyone mentions her family and he desperately wants to know why she has that frightful glint in her eyes but he knows it upsets her, he didn't know how much it upset her until last night.
Last night
He remember how they danced, slow and peaceful. For the first time in a while he genuinely felt happy, he felt wanted and free. If only he didn't mention her family, that oh-so-perfect dance could've continued, Aslan knows how long it would've lasted, Edmund only hoped it lasted forever.
When he got to the breakfast room two faun soldiers opened the doors for Edmund giving him a quick bow. At the table was only his siblings, no Sasha.
He sat down beside his brother as they greeted him.
"I believe the Braxton's are joining us for breakfast today" Peter told Edmund who was pouring himself a drink.
Edmund hummed in reply before taking a sip from his cup. "Ed, we need to make a good impression on Lady Annabella, this is a big deal" Peter said sternly and Edmund looked at his brother.
"No, only one of us has to make a good impression on her. She'll pick you anyway, you're the High King for Aslan's sake" Edmund said frustrated, although he doesn't know why he is frustrated. There was no reason for him to be annoyed.
"Edmund, you have every chance of marrying her just as much as Peter" Susan said softly.
"But I don't want to marry her!" Edmund raised his voice slightly at his older sister which caused her to look away from him. His eyebrows were furrowed and the cold angered look on his face could burn holes through souls.
When Edmund noticed this he softened his expression and took a deep breath, "I'm sorry, Sue. I didn't mean to raise my voice at you" he said sincerely and Susan gave him a small smile in return. Edmund then looked up at his brother. "I'll try harder, I promise" Edmund spoke and Peter gave him a nod.
Then the doors opened. Edmund looked quickly to the doors to see who it was, hoping it was Sasha. Although, it wasn't. It was the Braxtons'. Edmund looked at the empty seat beside him and he slowly and subtly pushed it in with his foot. He was trying to save that seat for Sasha. As he heard Peter greet them he seen Annabella come over to him.
Don't sit beside me. Don't sit beside me. Don't sit beside me.
"Is it okay if I sit with you?"
Great.
"Yes" Edmund said as he looked at the young woman. There was no doubt about it, she was beautiful but Edmund didn't want to marry her just because of her looks. If he was going to marry someone, they'd have to connect emotionally. Then he'd like to know about her personality- what she likes, her hobbies, interests, stuff she doesn't like. That's what attracts him, it doesn't matter if that girl is as radiant as the sun in the sky. If he doesn't like her personality or if he doesn't connect with her emotionally, looks won't matter at all.
As everyone sat awaiting their breakfast everyone was in conversation apart from Edmund. He was lost in his own mind. Where was Sasha? Is she okay? Maybe I need to go check in on her. What if she's still upset after last night? Why can't I stop thinking about her?
Just as he was about to stand up to go check on Sasha, Annabella started talking to him.
"So, King Edmund, what happened to your arm?" She asked with a toothy smile.
