Chapter 6
Friend Dates
My alarm clock screeched loudly.
My eyes flew open in suprise, sending my body tumbling on to the ground, landing in a heap on the floor.
I let out a growl. It was SATURDAY, my stupid alarm must have been forgotton to turn off.
Using my hand, I smacked the off button, the blaring ringing died immediatly. It was werid, I was positive that I'd turned it off last night, plus, it was eight oclock, and usaly my alarm rings at seven.
Werid.
I sat up slowly. There was no point in trying to get more sleep, I could never fall back asleep now.
With the blankies still pulled up and around my shoulders, I trugded into the kitchen. I immediatly headed for the coffee maker.
Clutching a cup of hot coffee in my hand, I went into the living room.
On the couch, I there was a pile of clothing with a pink post-it stuck to it. It was from Liz.
Heehee, if you're reading this, that means my plan has worked! (Evil laugh) Evan will be here in a few hours, so you need plenty of time to look presentable. Here is some clothes you can wear, I can do your hair and make up later. Now I'm sleeping.
--Liz
I crumpled up the post-it in my hand.
No way are you sleeping when I'm not, Liz.
I creeped up to her door, ninja style. I pulled it open slowly, I heard Liz's snoring, full blast.
Tiptoeing inside, I stifled a laugh, this was too good. Pulling out my phone playing it t video, I hit record and leaned it up against her bedside table so I could watch this over again.
Liz was wearing her eye mask, the bright pink and fluffy one.
Standing close to her, I drew in a breath. Pay back time.
I screamed/screeched/blared in her ear.
Liz jumped up three feet in the air. She stood up on her bed, still blinded by her eye mask, her arms started puching and swinging the air.
I tossed her blind self over my shoulder miletairy style, I was stronger then I looked. I ran with her over my shoulder, her arms plunked at her sides so she couldnt whack me. She screamed for help.
"HELP! WHAT THE (BLEEP) IS GOING ON!!! PUT ME DOOOOOWN!" she squrimed, and I plunked her down on the couch. I stodd with my face close to hers, arms crossed.
She took off the eye mask, her eyes were wide. I tried to keep a serious face.
"What the--" She started to complain, probably loudly, but I cut her off.
"You woke me up, I do the same for you." I put my nose in the air, waiting for an apology. A smile, yes her creepy one, leaked on to her lips.
"It worked though, eh?" She crossed her arms, and leaned back. I pouted.
"I don't know whats the big deal! I'm just going for friend-date! Not an actual date!!" I was getting fusterated from explaining this.
She smiled, like she knew something and I didn't. I huffed.
"Know, don't you get huffy with me, huff-girl. He is volcano-hot. Mr. Volcano and Huff-girl, don't match. Have you ever heard superhero parteners like that? Nope. So change the dang super name to a nice one, and find the attitude to go with it. Like, nice-girl, or look-hot-for-a-hot-guy-girl. Even better, do-what-Liz-wants-girl. So get changed, Huff-girl." She lectured me.
