Chapter 7
The Girly Side
I stopped infront of the Mall directory. I frowned at it, I tried to figure out which store sold what.
Liz yanked my arm, nearly sending me sprawling face first on the tile floor.
"Come oooon guys! We don't have all day!" Katelyn called back at us, as we entered an expensive looking store.
The sales lady stood by the entrence, she looked to be about 30 years old, she pursed her lips and frowned at us, tapping her foot.
Katelyn smiled sweetly at her, before quickly pulling out her cerdit card. The sales lady immediaty smiled at us, obviously seen Katelyns cerdit card.
Walking into the store, I felt a little out of place. I wasn't used to shopping, or if I did, Adam would usaly come with me, and he seemed allergic to any kind of girly stores.
"Eeeeep!!!" Liz squealed, and she ran over to a display of dresses. "This color would look AMAZING on me!!" Liz twirled around, holding the electric blue dress in her hands. The sales lady looked extremly frusterated with Liz.
I absentmindedly wondered around the store, looking at dresses. Katelyn followed me, helping me find the perfect dress.
I saw two dresses, they were hanging side by side. They were very different and elegant and..... Wow.
I picked them up, and threw them over my shoulder, Katelyn squealed slightly as she followed me to the fitting room area.
The first dress fit me like a glove, it was a soft emerald green color. The top was strapless, and it was a sweetheart cut. The fabric was pulled, making it elegant. The waist was right underneath the bust line. The waist had a thick strap, with white lacey intericate patterns on it. The bottom skirt flowed out all the way to the floor. The whole thing was made of silk.
Twirling infront of the mirror a last time, I stepped out of the changing room. Liz and Katelyn stopped their conversation, their eyes widened.
"OMFG!" They screamed together. They came closer, circling around me, all giggling.
"It fits you sooo nicely!"
"Thats totally your color."
"If I were a dude, I would marry you right now and here." Liz said, casualy. Katelyn and I turned to her.
"What?" Liz said, like she thought that saying that she was a boy she would marry you was a normal thing to say. We all laughed.
"You have to get that!" Liz gushed.
I beamed. "There is one more dress that I want to try on first."
"Yay! I knew that I would eventually turn you into a girl!!" Liz cried as I stepped into the changing room, shaking my head at her.
I slid on dress #2, loving the feel of the flowy fabric. I twirled infront of the mirror.
This dress fit me like a second skin, like the first one. Execpt this dress was totaly different, but had alike in the same way. The shapes were close to the same, this one was a perfect light purple. The top was sweetheart, and high waisted, like the first. But the waist on this one was not a strap, but a swen white beaded patteren. The skirt was flowy, made out of chiffon I think.
Out of the changing room, Katelyn, Liz and I were bouncing slightly.
"Oooooooh its goregous!!!"
"Speechless!"
I beamed. "Thanks guys."
"Which one are you getting?" Katelyn asked. The question struck me. I furrowed my eyebrows. I didn't have an answer.
