Chapter 33
Overnight
"I'm hungry....." A voice whined, entruding my foggy mind. I buried my head further into the soft pillow, scooching away from the unwanted light and sound of conciousness. I could see the sun through my eyelids, distrupting my peaceful sleep.
"Shh man, suck it up." A voice grumbled from a closer distance. I reconiside it as Evan's.
The sheets were warm and snug around me, all I wanted to do was fall back asleep and sleep for the whole day.
But of course, my mind had other plans. I started to slowly regain concusnious, and soon managed to open my sleepy eyes.
It took me a second to reconise the unfamiliar room. But it all came back to me quickly.
"Morning boys..." I mumbled sleepily. I sat up, and stretched my back and arms. I held the comforter closer to me, trying to keep the crisper morning air outside of my bundle of blankets.
"Morning beautiful." Evan smiled, sleepily. His dark blond hair was sticking up and messy, making it look incrediably sexy.
My cheeks flushed, I knew that I must look like a total mess.
I swung my legs out of bed, and stood up. I looked around for my bag to be hanging up on a peg or laying on the carpet. I groaned.
"What's wrong?" Mark asked, sitting down in a leather chair, rubbing his tummy.
"I forgot, what am I supposed to wear?" I smacked my hand to my forehead. Looking around once more for a solution.
"Calm it, we can probably drive by your apartement and pick up a few things." Evan reassured, waving his hand in a dissmissing fashion.
"How long are we staying here for?" Mark asked suddenly.
I did a quick estimation in my head.
"Not sure, maybe for the week." I shrugged.
Evan gaped at me. "A week, only?!" He looked at me childishly. "It could take a long time, they have to catch the person."
"What? Why so long?" I asked him, folding my arms over my chest.
Evan drew in a breah, his deep green eyes stonily looked into mine. An untelligable emotion underlayed them. "Because he know where you live, he could easily come back."
"That's just being paranoid." I grumbled. I was eager to go back to the apartements, and continue like nothing ever happened. But Evan's word held an icy trace of truth. You cannot ignor reality no matter how far you try to run away from it.
"It's common sense, Soph." Evan said icily, staring right at me.
I stood up. "Well. I have to go get ready for tonight." I nodded to the both of them, then started walking in th direction of the bathroom.
"What's going on tonight?" Mark suddenly butted in. I stopped, and looked back at him.
"It's mine and Evan's three month annerveristy!" I declared, throwing a wink towards Evan. My happiness refueling my body.
I skipped the rest of the way to the bathroom, a smile plastered across my face.

The gravel scrunched under the rubber tires as we passed over the small amount of gravel that lead to the pavement of the parking lot.
I found my usual parking space, singing along to the last few words of the song blasting from the radio before I cut the keys.
