Chapter 46
Focus, Focus, Focus.
The wind was startleingly strong, abruptly blowing the cutains out horozontially into the apartement.
The fresh, cool air circled around the room, as I hurried to shut the living room window against the dull white sky. Not excatly ideal weather for summer in California.
I felt the wind shake my empty apartement. Empty, taking a break from being a full-time house for five rowdy teenagers instead of an shared apartement for friends.
I took this to my advantage, I think I deserved some alone time. I mean, I've had Mark attacking me full-time now ever since the Party thing yesterday. Now I could finally walk around with out having to look behind my shoulder every two seconds.
So I did what every other teenaged girl does when shes alone.
I re-clipped, re-buffered, and re-painted my little toesie-nails. A sparkly blue.
Next, I gave myself a facial with the leftover avocado I dug out of our pathatic little miniture frigde and made it into some green mush I scrubbed onto my face.
I dressed in my LuLuLemon fitted yoga pants and Love Pink sweater-shirt thing. I tied my hair up into a messy bun high on my head to keep it out of the green mush.
Huh. That didn't take as long as I thought it would.
I pretty much didn't have very much else to do. So I grabbed my iPhone and started playing Flow. Quite fun, if you ask me. But not time consuming enough.
I played until I reached the last level of 10x10, when the screen turned to black.
Aw shit, I was kicking ass! The little battery sign lit up the screen, preventing me from continuing my game. So I took the unloyal phone to my room for charging.
I bounced back into the bathroom, making silly faces in the mirror, laughing how crazy I looked with my face painted green. I leaned over the sink and scrubbed the hardening mask off, the water turning green as I ran my hands under the faucet.
I straightened again, pleased with the fresh glow I had going on. It's amazing what a little Avacado can do to a woman, I'm telling you.
I checked my toe nails, seeing that they were dried properly for socks. I slipped my feetsies into some Puma double-dry white sporty socks. Much better.
I kinda ran out of things to do. I sat silently on my bed, my hands tucked under my thighs as I stared carelessly into the open space. I turned my glance over at the electronic clock on my bedside table. Evan would be here in twenty minutes.
Marley had wanted to go shopping today for some new clothes. Mark, the opportunist his is-- took advantage to scope out some girls at a popular habitat, he quickly volunteered to take her. And Evan was visiting his friend Blake. I had missed the Mall-train this morning, since I had to attempt to clean some of this disater-zone. And lastly, Liz was going to Josh's house to officially break-up with him.
I thought back to the texts Josh had sent Liz last night, she had shown me and we both couldn't stop giggling. Josh was texting her like he was a pathatic loser. I mean, we tried everything, and that boy we still oblivious. He had no hope anymore.
I stood up and twirled around the bedroom, exiting to the living room. I picked up the remote sitting lone on the coffee table, and clicked the TV on. I hurried off into the kitchen before the commercials ended to make some popcorn. I was really craving popcorn.
I propped the large bowl on my lap, sitting criss-cross apple sauce on the couch. I had returned just in time to see the last Herbal Essences commercial before Saved by The Bell started.
