Chapter 43

The Moment I Knew

"Oh my god, Soph." Adam stated when I opened the door. I bowed my head, looking down at my toes. I painted them red, pretty.

I felt two masculine arms wrap around my waist, and I snuggled my head into his shoulder.

It felt so naturel, conforming easily into his body, standing their just hugging, not talking. Because we both understood.

I had blabbed to Adam everything that had happened, through a blubbering of fresh tears. He'd come over right away. Thank god.

He rubbed my back with his hand soothingly. I sniffed back tears, drawing apart.

Adam left his hands hanging over my hips, he dusted a strand of hair covering my eyes.

"What time is your date?" He asked, searching my face.

"Seven." I murmed. dully.

He flicked his wrist up to his eyes, checking his beloved Rolex watch I had gotten him a few years ago for christmas.

"M'mkay. We've got a few good hours. It's twelve now," Wow. I'd slept in until twelve? My lip pulled back, a guilty reaction. I could barely manage to drag myself up to call Adam this morning. I looked down at my pajyama shorts and top. I had alot of getting ready to do.

"Where is he taking you? The creep better not be taking you to any dark alley ways..." He said in a warning tone, raising his dark eyebrow into his even darker fringe.

"Nope, the RoseWood restuarent." I laughed, picturing the grande restaurent in my head. It made sense that Ryan could and would afford a big restaurent like that, now that I know about his parents buisness. Trying to sweep me off of my feet with an expressive venue. "Oh gosh what should I wear?" I gushed, biting my pink finger thoughtfully.

Adam rolled his eyes, very used to the new girly thing. "Not sure..." He said thoughtfully, sashaying over to my closet, opening the double doors and walking inside.

"Where's that white one with the little skirt that jets out...?" He murmered to himself, searching the racks.

I jutted out my hip, raising an eyebrow. "The skirt jets out? You mean, tiers?"

"Oh, yeah." He mumbled, grabbing a dress off the rail, holding it up for me to see.

I nodded impressivly, shocked at how well he knew my hardly-touched collection.

I took the dress from him, holding it out in my hands. It was goregeus, still in shock that I'd even owned something like this. It's Gucci, short and strapless and fitted at the top. White, with sevreal different colors of floral exploding elegantly on it. It had three tiers for the skirt.

I whistled. Nice.

"Good one, Ads." I complimented, nodding appreciativly. Adam's cheeks flushed pink. Awhh.

"I didn't even knew I had this..." I mumbled to myself, still in awe how'd he'd even known. I shrugged it off. Boys.

I laid the dress down on a nearby chair, neatly. Then I skipped off to meet Adam, who had wondered off into the kitchen, lurking for food.

"Boo." I joked as I swept by him, grabbing a glass off the counter and filling it up with water. I chugged it down in a few greedy gulps, then started scavenging for food.

I hopped myself up on the counter, placing my bowl of Special K on crossed legs.

"So, how's Adica?" I asked, crunching through a mouthfull of Vanilla Almond.
