Chapter 26

A Closer Look

"So you guys are official?" I asked Evelyn once she was done telling me about her newest boy in her life.

"Yep," She said smiling. "I'm hoping this relationship will last longer then my others. We are even going to the same college! We have alot in comon, its great. He's great!"

An uneasy alert went off in my head. "Ohmigosh!" My jaw fell open, I sat up abruptly in my seat, my fingers clutching around my Starbucks Vanilla Bean.

Evelyn gave me a shocked look. "What is it? Is there a bug in my hair? I HATE BUGS! OHMIGOSH GET IT OUT! GET IT OUT!" She shrieked, wriggling around in her seat.

I swatted her hands down. "No. Calm down Ev." I laughed, but then turned serious. "I forgot all about University! How could I be so stupid! I have to get my application in fast." I started biting my nails, an annoying habit.

"I'm sure you'll get in, you're a bright student. What do you want to be again?" She asked, shaking her straightened hair out.

"I wanna be an buisness woman." I told her, my lips wraping around the green straw and taking a sip of the icy drink.

"Hm. I want to be a surgeon, I can picture it now... Doctor Evelyn Minroe please come down to the operating room." She said in a mechinic voice, mimicking a intercom system. "Just think of the lives you could save!" She exclaimed, leaning back in her seat with a dreamy look of her face.

I grimaced slightly. "I'm not good with the whole 'cutting people open' part."

She shrugged. "I find the inner body quite interesting."

I laughed, "It's definitly not for the weak stomached. Remeber Jessica when we were disecting frogs in biology last semester? Poor girl fainted."

"Frogs are as gross as a... as a booger!" EW EW EW. She grimaced, wrinkling her face up in digust.

"True, eurgh and when Drew burst his frogs gullbladder and it squirted--" I cut myself off, remebering the disgusting memory. Eugh.

"Yep. That boy loves his froggy guts." She said, poking out her tongue. "I remeber when we dated once, but it didn't last long."

"Yeah, didn't you break up with him because he kept flirting with Molly Lark?"

She rolled her eyes. "Yes, what a loser."

Evelyn moved so she was facing me directly. "Remeber when you dated Alex?" She giggled.

I glaredat her playfully. "One of the many wackos I have dated, eurgh like that dog Kevin, Lucas that bast-- nevermind, and now Ryan is... Crazy."

"Trust me, I have delt with worse." She laughed, placing her petite hand on my shoulder. "Don't you remeber when I went to the dance with Luke? Eurgh what a asshole."

"Yeah, I do." I laughed, thinking back to when that had happened. "And then of course he ended up making out with Tammy in the bathrooms at the end of the night."

She rolled her baby blue eyes, her long thick eyelashes nearly touching her brows. "Don't remind me."

"Alright. So, about this guy. Have I met him?" I asked, going back to her newest boy.

"Um.. Maybe, he was at Prom, and he was one of those guys who ripped their shirt off on the stage. He hangs out with 'that' crew." Evelyn told me, biting her lip as they curled into a sly smile.

"Oh yeah, blond hair, light grey eyes? Tall? He's in my History class. Spencer, right?" I said, remebering the boy. The quite hot boy.

"That's the one!" She smiled. "He is actually so sweet, he is kind of quiet but can get a little hyper some times."
