Chapter 29

Eye-Scorching White

Well.

This is awkward. (A/N Katelyn feels privlegded to read those first setences, she got a sneak peak!)

And also, the thick tension and scares hung in the air.

I felt so out of place, siting at the end of the bed while those cops planted horrific pictures into my head, gruesome events that could of happened while they pried for information from Evan.

And as for Evan, he sat there, with a pained and confused expression on his face, racking his brain for any memories.

"Did any of the members try to sexually assult you?" The question guy asked. This guy was apparently some detective, prying for information. He had orange hair, none at the top of his head, just around from ear to ear. He was extremly skinny, and was sweating buckets and talked with a know-it-all, high pitched voice.

"Uh... I don't remeber!" Evan shouted, annoyed and frusterated, we've been doing this for the past hour.

The questioner tsked, pushing his thick glasses futher up his skinny, sweaty nose. He loosened his tie, which was tight around his skinny neck.

"Are you sure?" The questioner asked, raising a vibrant red eyebrow.

"I think I would know if I can remeber or not!" Evan argued, leaning forwards in his bed, but leaned back down quickly once he saw the glare he was getting from the nurse.

"Guys, this isn't getting any where. Obviously, Evan can't remeber, go round up some witnesses or something!" Evelyn shouted, annoyance clear in her voice. The question guy rolled his eyes at her.

"Missy, go take your fit somewhere else. I'm doing my job." The question guy said in a bitchy tone.

All of us, Mark, Jake, Michael, Shawn, Xavier, Evelyn and me, all looked at each other.

"Get out, man." Xavier sighed, switching his weight to is other foot.

The question guy looked taken aback, his shoulders seemed to do this little flappy thing, making him look like a chicken having a spasm.

He hitched up his trousers, that were sliding down on his skinny little legs, and marched out with his puffed up chest, clipboard tucked under his arm.

The cops standing by the door looked as if they were about to laugh, but they regained their seriousness face, and nodded to us.

"We will be looking for witnesses, we will be getting back to you. Call us if there is any problems." The lady cop said, handing us a card. I tucked it into my pocket, flashing her a smile.

"But, why are we doing so much reserch on this?" Evan asked her.

She looked at her partener. She drew in a tight breath.

"Well. We are thinking that, most likely, this isn't just some random attack."

I blinked.

Wait... What?

Everyone exchanged blank looks.

"What do you mean? Are you saying that this was, that this could be a planned attack? Intentional?"

She nodded, and leaving all us of with our thoughts and blank expressions as we waited for it to sink in, she turned on her heel and left through the door with her partener.

We all stood in silence.

"Do you think... Do you think that it could be?" I whispered, starring straight ahead.
