Chapter 25
Finally, Some Chill Time!
"You know what's strange," I said rhetorically. "That Mark and Katelyn didn't tease or drop any comments about what happened... Between us after we made up yesterday."
Evan laughed. "Yeah, but I'm gonna get hell about it later." He grimaced slightly, his eyes told me that he was imaging the scene.
I giggled at the mental image. Mark would totally tease the crap out of him.
"Where did Mark say he was going again?" I asked, looking around his apartment in-case Mark was standing in a corner and I just didn't notice him.
"He dropped off Katelyn then went to visit his mum." Evan answered, twirling a piece of my hair around his finger. "He has always been a momma's boy."
"He does kind of had a girly side. He giggles like a three year old whenever you poke him in the stomach." I laughed at the memory, Mark would totally flip whenever you poked him, he falls off couches and rolls on the floor.
"Only when is he around girls he is looking to get into bed is he a total 'macho man'." Evan said, rolling his eyes. "But when he is around us guys he can be a foolish kid."
"I've always heard that you've been a player bad-ass." I told him, raising an eyebrow. "But you don't seem to act like it."
"Well!" He challenged. "I was... And I am still a total bad boy!" He proclaimed, crossing his arms, and puffing out his chest.
"Well... You seem very sweet. But when you punched that creep out on the beach, it shows that you have a bad side." I said, winking at him.
"Maybe I'll just have to punch more creeps then." Evan joked, draping his arm over my shoulder. I snuggled into him, resting my head on his shoulder. I could hear his heartbeat thud through his chest.
"You do that." I laughed, then sat up. "You know what, I really need a new cell phone. And I won't give Ryan the number. It's just that it's so hard to shop for one because of the plans, contracts, price, quality..."
"And I could text you!" Evan declared, throwing one arm into the air. I laughed at his foolishness.
"Yes, that too. I guess I could ask Adam for his expertise, he is really good with the tech stuff." I wondered for my plans of a new cell phone.
Evan's gaze turned serious. "And also it's better for safety. When you were stranded in the parking lot? Did you even go and get the car back?"
"Yeah I know. And I'm sure somebody would of picked the car up by now." I said, dismissing it with a flourish of my hand.
"Alright, alright. But I don't want Ryan to pick you up again. I just hope I don't see him ever, because, if I see that filthily, sick, bas--"
I covered his mouth. "I get it." I smiled at Evan. "I appreciate your concern and protection though."
"He hurt you. This man is messed up." He said, the anger sizzling through his voice.
"I know." I sighed softly. My heart ached whenever I thought about him. "But I guess I'll always have a soft spot for him, after all, he was my first love." But that didn't explain how I fell out of love with him, I never would of thought you could.
Evan ran a hand through his hair. I could sense the frustration radiating off him.
"I guess that's just something I have to accept." Evan smiled weakly, but with a slightly guarded expression. "But can I still punch him in his--"
"That's enough babes."

"Look what I goooot!" I sang as I pranced through the doorway, holding my bag high up in the air.
