She never understood why he chose to look at her when there was so much beauty around her.
She wasn't anything special.
Just a girl on a park bench
She found the real magic in the freedom and spirit of the park.
The way the children leapt from the swings or the way the leaves danced to the ground.
Everyday for nearly two weeks they would both come to admire the beauty; her of the park and him of her.
She always was aware of him, out of the corner of her eye, she always knew he was watching.
She never looked back at him, for which he was both disappointed and grateful.
If she did he would not know what he'd say.
Probably nothing, just continue to shamelessly look her in the eyes and wait for her reaction.
He was never one for conversation.
Neither was she.
Although that didn't matter much.
