Embarrassed.
Upset.
Humiliated.
Blue felt her emotions come in waves as her sister pulled her by the sleeve to their apartment door.
Her mother was right inside the door.
Angered.
Impatient.
Appalled.
Waves of emotions just as strong as her own rolled off her mother.
They were very similar in some ways, the way their mouth tightened and nose wrinkled when they got upset.
The way their emotions seemed to be written in their eyes.
"I'm-"
Her mom stuck her index finger out to silence her.
Her mom hung her head, her hand outstretched like this for several minutes.
Blue stood at the door in her sisters shadow.
"I don't want to hear an apology. I don't want to hear an explanation or excuses. I don't care what you have to say anymore. Just- just go to your room. Please."
Blue pressed her lips together and ducked under her moms arm into the apartment.
She made her way to her room and wondered why she kept messing up.
Why can't she just be who her mom and sister want her to be?
Why?
