Blue's home was loud.
It was loud and small and blue.
Her mother was the best she could be, but it was hard to be a good mother from a wheelchair.
A loud, rattly, old wheelchair.
Her older sister stayed home with them even though she was twenty and could support herself just fine.
Blue's sister pretended she needed to stay with her mother, when the truth was her mother needed her.
She'd taken care of her mother and Blue ever since the car accident that left her mother paralyzed from the waist down two years ago.
Blue knew when she was old enough the responsibility of her mother would be passed down to her.
To be fair, Blue had no bigger plans.
Her sister had plans.
And now her sister was trapped like her mother until Blue takes her place.
Trapped in the concrete forest.
Trapped.
Oh how Blue hated to be trapped.
