Blue was at the park first.
Grey showed a few minutes after.
They both took their places on the benches parallel to one another.
And the staring, watching, studying began.
The day dreaming.
Blue dreamt of the freedom of the birds.
Grey dreamt of the day he might talk to Blue.
The birds Blue was watching circled overhead.
The sky was grey and cloudy.
No rain fell, but the air was thick with moisture.
It was almost like breathing underwater.
Grey watched Blue, the way her hair moved with the wind.
She was otherworldly.
A free spirit bound to this earth only by gravity.
She was a complex creature.
A beautiful, blue, strange creature.
