Finally, with a sigh, the bubble burst and their moment slipped away.
"Let's get you home."
Grey said.
Blue led the way, pulling Grey gently by the hand.
He walked on the outside of course, wondering which house she'd walk in to.
As they got further and further Grey realized that this wasn't her street.
"Where exactly do you live?"
Grey wondered.
"Just around the corner and down the street. In an apartment builing. Number 24."
Grey bobbed his head in a slow nod.
It would be a long walk home for him.
But he didn't regret it.
They walked in no hurry, Blue's mind occupied with thoughts of what she's in for at home.
Maybe it was a bad idea to let Grey walk her home.
She wondered if she should tell him to turn back.
As they got closer and closer she made up her mind.
