Blue blushed.

It was funny seeing her so flustered and speechless.

Cute.

Grey turned to look back down the hill, taking in the sight.

He tried to see from Blues perspective.

The way the streetlights flickered, the slant of the rooftops.

The way the houses all dimmed their lights almost all at once.

The trees around the top of the hill that fade into front yards.

The cracks in the pavement.

They both stood there.

Not waiting for anything special.

Just enjoying what they already had.

Grey took the sight in, the smell, the sounds.

The way Blue stared out at the scene below, biting her lip, her eyes wide open.

The smell of the pine trees to their left and a hint of vanilla that always seemed to envelope Blue wherever she went.

It was quiet, the only sounds were the birds and Blue's quiet breathing.

It was such a perfect little moment.

With Blue, every moment brought new beauty.

And Grey prayed there'd be many more.
