Even after the rain let up the sky remained dark.
Somewhere in the back of his mind Grey wondered what time it was.
Blue sat back with her eyes closed.
If it wasn't for the slight rise and fall of her chest he'd have thought she were dead.
He suspected she might be sleeping and wondered if he should wake her up.
Grey finally checked the time.
8:40
Her family might worry where she is...
If he fell asleep in the park he'd want to be woken up.
He walked over as quietly as he could, his feet sinking in the wet grass.
When he made it over to the other bench he felt nervous.
What if she isn't really asleep?
What if she doesn't want to be woken?
He shook his head and took a breath.
Looking down at her he gathered his courage and gently shook her shoulder.
