After a long time of explanations and apologies, Blue sat down to eat.
Her mother went to bed, claiming that it's been too exhausting of a day for her to handle.
Blue heard that a lot from both her mom and her sister.
She heard about how exhausted she made them.
How stressed out.
It made her feel like a burden, something that put a weight on both of their shoulders.
She wished she could just be gone; take away their burdens but she worried that might just cause more trouble.
So Blue just listens.
Helpless.
A burden.
A stress.
Just another problem.
It isn't a good feeling, being the family dilemma.
And her family already has their fair share of those.
Blue swallowed around the lump in her throat and tried not to cry.
She was an issue.
A problem.
A burden.
She was blue.
