Grey's father was never home.
He was a workaholic, far too busy for Grey.
Far too busy to clean the house or repaint the walls or even join his son for a meal.
But that was okay.
Grey was accustomed to the silence, to going unnoticed, to being alone.
He never had any siblings and his mother was unspoken of.
Grey's mother was a lot like Grey.
Fading into the background until she disappeared all together.
Grey didn't remember her, he was too young he supposed.
He wondered about her.
If she was missing him.
Or if she was even still alive.
I guess that's the cost of being grey.
Never being known.
