Blue grabbed Grey's hand as they reached the top.
Grey took a deep breath as he made his final step.
And the sight was breathtaking.
Or at least Blue made it seem like it would be.
On the other side of the hill there was nothing out of the ordinary.
It was just like any other hill or any other street.
The street lights flickered dimly and unsurely, as if they didn't know whether they should be on or off.
It wasn't very long, and from up on the hill you could see apartment buildings looming not too far away.
"This is..."
"Breathtaking? Beautiful? Amazing?"
"It's completely... ordinary."
Grey turned to look at her, her face alight with awe.
"I know. What were you expecting? Ordinary things are beautiful too. People get used to sights like these, they lose their value, go underappreciated. But it's just as beautiful as it's ever been."
Grey shook his head ever so slightly, squeezing her hand gently.
"You're a strange girl,"
Grey murmured, looking down to look Blue in the eye.
She gave an almost smile.
"Strange can be beautiful too."
