Dedication to @canycanewaters Thank you for all the love and support - even though I definitely don't deserve it at this point for making you wait so long.

Also, yes, I did take part of the previous chapter and tack it onto this one because it felt out of place there and helps tie the next section in better. I even added some more details to make it less boring for you.

I hope you all (the ones who've waited and those just finding this) enjoy the rest of the story as we get into the final chapters. ^_^

*Bekah's POV*

Even though the party was much needed, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done. We've managed to turn Mel's house into a base of operations for the pack and are currently prepping for our training session with the hunters tomorrow. Not only have we turned to living room into a base of operations, but the space is nearly unrecognizable. The couches have been long cleared - thanks to the destruction that was Fenris's little scheme - and a large, oak table now takes place as the room's new centerpiece. Surrounding it is an army of bulletin boards with scraps of paper pinned to nearly every surface. A mixture of red, green, and yellow string tying the makeshift puzzle together. A contribution Rhys insisted on. On the table itself is an overview image of the area we'd met Fenris on the night of the blood moon. On top of which was a full-scale depiction of what occurred the last time we'd faced them. A collection of fake trees and random board game pieces Paul, Dyscen, and Rhys repeatedly reviewed every second of that fateful night's events. From where everyone entered to the most likely route Derreck went on his eventful dip in the river below the cliff.

A reenactment neither of us were too privy on repeating every day...but it was always so oddly fascinating to see the three of them strategizing so fluidly.

As though working together was second nature already.

They even sent a video message to the hunters to explain what we'd gone through that night.

This alliance isn't going to be easy, but it's what needs to be done. There was quite a bit of animosity with some of the hunters and a couple members of the pack. No one really trusts one another yet.

"Bekah?" Mel's voice breaks my concentration and I look up at her as she comes down the stairs.

"Yes?"

"I need everyone in the other room for a moment." Her tone is final as she turns away from us, walking calmly into through the entryway.

I look around the table at the pack and nod once. "You heard her."

Everyone quickly begins to close the folders Derreck put together before following Mel from the room. Right now it's just the wolves here, the guy's mates are with their families as to not stress them out. Anna, Selene, and Aubrie didn't look too good when the subject of Fenris and his group was brought up by Graig after the party...I'd thought it best to give them a little normalcy for a couple days while we were off from school on break. Selene and Aubrie went skiing with their families and are due back tomorrow. I can tell their absence is taking its tole on Trey and Xander...but they've hidden it well. We file into the living room and everyone takes a seat. Derreck comes up to take my hand as we stand by the room's entrance, leaning against the wall for support.

"Alright everyone!" Mel claps her hands together softly as she slowly paces the area in front of the television. "I'm going to make one thing clear right now, none of you are allowed to die because of this. I understand that this guy...well, he's bad news. But you're-" her voice breaks slightly, "you're my kids and I care for each and every one of you. You're my responsibility and I love you."
