[COMPLETED] Kidnapped!

Chapter 9

- "Who's there?"

- "I should be the one to ask you that question."

Sana squinted, trying to get a better look at the person sitting behind the metal bars. Despite the dim lighting, his handsome features were quite remarkable. However, she wasn't going to just tell this stranger her identity, in case words would get out and bring her unnecessary troubles.

- "Not gonna answer huh?" - He shrugged. - "Well, at least I know you weren't sent by GD."

It was more of a statement than a question. Sana quirked an eyebrow.

- "What makes you think so?"

- "Otherwise, you should at least know who I am." - He gave her a scanover. - "Plus, I doubt it's convenient to wear pajama if you're on a mission."

She looked down at her current attire and got slightly flustered. It wasn't anything revealing but also hardly appropriate for a first meeting.

- "Ah, it's been quite awhile since I last saw anyone else besides Somi." - He grinned. - "I assume you know her right?"

Sana hesitantly nodded. She remembered hearing Jungkook called the girl in the kitchen by that name.

- "Did you get lost? Nah, it's unlikely 'cause you have to have the key to get in. So that means you probably sneaked in on purpose... But why?" - He glanced at her, seemingly searching for any sign that would give away the answer. - "Curiosity? Or do you have ulterior motive?"

Quite talkative, he was. The guy literally had a monologue all by himself without giving Sana any chance to explain. Though, it might actually be better this way. After all, she wouldn't want to risk slipping...

- "Could it be... you're here to dig up some dirt about GD?"

Sana froze. He ventured into a dangerous subject. Chills ran down her spine as she thought about the consequences if this guy ever told such thing to Jungkook and the others.

- "That's not true!" - His ears perked up when he heard her raised tone. - "I... I don't mean any harm."

Sana scold herself for stuttering.

'Way to make yourself look suspicious.'

- "Oh?" - He chuckled in amusement. - "Mind telling me your real intention then?"

She bit her lips, unsure of what she should say to convince this stranger.

- "Don't worry, I'm not gonna tattletale." - He grinned. - "Unless you want me to."

Sana stiffened. Was that a subtle hint of threat she sensed? What was this guy up to? Nevermind, she wouldn't want to find out.

- "I was only looking for a friend." - She finally confessed, though it was only half true.

- "And might I know whom?"

She took a deep breath. This was it, he left her with no choice.

- "Do you happen to know anyone goes by the name Jin?"

The mirth on his face completely vanished.

- "You've come to the wrong place."
