Chapter 30

BANG!!!

Sana let out a loud scream when Seokjin fell on top of her, bullet stuck in his back. Right before Jungkook's countdown could reach zero, he already pulled Sana into an embrace, using his whole body as a shield to protect her from any harm.

- "Tsk." - The corner of Jungkook's lips curled up into a maniacal grin, as he slowly raised his still-smoking gun again.

Sana panicked and tried to escape Seokjin's hold in futile. Seokjin didn't bulge no matter despite her struggles. At the time, keeping her safe was his only priority. Seeing that reasoning with Seokjin was useless, Sana changed her target.

- "Jungkook, please don't..."

- "You can't me what to do." - Jungkook tightened his grip on the gun. Seeing his action, Sana's felt like her heart was being ripped out of her chest.

- "IF YOU FIRE THAT BULLET, I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU!" - Sana desperately shouted her threat. This weak and helpless feeling was killing her from the inside. - "I'LL HUNT YOU DOWN UNTIL THE DAY I DIE!! I'LL HAUNT YOU EVEN AFTER DEATH!"

- "Sounds good to me." - Jungkook firmly held his stance and pulled the trigger...

However, nothing happened.

- "Damn, such a killjoy." - Jungkook tossed the empty gun away. - "Anyone have a spare? Mine ran out of ammo."

One of GD's men instantly responded by passing a new gun to Jungkook. What came next happened so fast that nobody else had time to react.

- "BANG!"

The force caused GD to stumble back. From the wound on his shoulder, blood started to leak out and formed a red patch on his white shirt. Almost immediately after, GD's men were all restrained by a group led by none other than Suga, Jimin and Mingyu. Meanwhile, with his expression hidden from view, Jungkook slowly made his way towards GD.

- "Show's over."

GD squinted his eyes dangerously.

- "Jungkook, what's the meaning of this? Are you betraying me?"

- "Stop acting. I already knew you've lied to me all this time."

- "I don't know what you're talking..."

- "Minatozaki didn't kill my family, you did." - Jungkook spoke through gritted teeth. - "Jeon Yoomin, my mom. Wasn't you the one who killed her, father?"

A/N: I know this chapter is short but I might try to do another update soon. Also, I'm gonna add an interview session below to explain some stuffs.

*Interview session*

Interviewer (I): Hello Jungkook, I'm gonna ask you some questions, just answer as truthfully as you can, okay?

Jungkook (JK): Fine.

I: Was the whole thing planned? If yes, then how?

JK: Yes. I made a secret deal with Suga because my subordinates alone aren't enough to go against GD. They had to get rid off those GD's men who were surrounding this place outside too, so it took awhile.

I: Okay, I get it. You acted crazy to prolong the time and wait for them to arrive. Still though, how dare you pull the trigger on Sana?? 😡

JK: Obviously I didn't intend to shoot her at all. Why do think I did that countdown from 10? I was letting that Jin guy know when to interfere so that the bullet wouldn't hit her.

I: But what if he didn't block it? She could have gotten hurt!

JK: I know he would for sure. But if he didn't, I wouldn't have shot.

I: Wait... So that bullet wasn't necessary right? You could have just think of something else to distract GD!

JK: Who cares?
*mumble* That guy deserves it. How dare he get so close to her...

I: Omg you're jealous aren't you?

JK: ...Shut up.
