Chapter 20

Jungkook's kisses were getting more intense and passionate than ever. He held Sana so closely and so tightly, like she'd disappear if he didn't. On the other hand, Sana was struggling both mentally and physically against his fatal seduction. She refused to surrender herself to something as basic as lust, no matter how terribly attractive this man in front of her was. Jungkook was too strong for her, but morals forbid her from giving up. She would keep on fighting and fighting...

Jungkook's grip on Sana finally loosened when he tasted her tears. The beast inside of him was silenced in a heartbeat, as he felt his stomach clenched painfully upon seeing her broken state. Unlike the time at the wedding, the cause of her distress this time was none other than him. What had he done? Jungkook couldn't believe he almost forced himself on her due to the lack of control over his hormones.

- "Don't cry..." - Jungkook gently wiped the droplets on her cheeks away. - "I...I'm sorry."

How long had it been since he last sincerely apologized to a person? Usually Jungkook wasn't a man of regret but at that moment, he wanted to say it over and over again until she could forgive him. The thought of her being scared of him or even hating him was strangely unsettling.

- "I..." - Jungkook swallowed thickly. As much as he despised it, Jungkook knew he had no other choice. - "...I will respect your decision."

Jungkook did not return to the beach that day.

Moreover, everyone noticed something different about the mood in the house. Thus, the dinner was rather awkward, despite Baekhyun and Mingyu's attempts to lighten the mood.

After the meal, Jeongyeon insisted on playing a game, hoping that it would somehow clear the air. At first Sana wanted to excuse herself but Jeongyeon's enthusiasm eventually managed to convince her to stay.

- "Alright, let's loosen up!"

They decided to play "Never have I ever...". The rule was simple, each person  would say a statement about something they had never done and whoever had done it would have to take a sip of their drink.

Mingyu grinned. He already thought of the targets for his turn.

- "Never have I ever been mistaken as the opposite gender."

- "I fucking hate you." - Baekhyun glared at him before taking his shots, along with Jeongyeon. Some chuckled and giggled upon recalling the tales about Jeongyeon's dedicated fangirls and infamous rumors about Baekhyun's "sugar daddy".

- "Next is my turn hmm..." - Dahyun pondered for a while. - "Never have I ever watched porn."

Everyone else picked their cups up.

- "Not you too Yeri?" - Dahyun gasped dramatically.

- "What?" - Yeri looked away, trying to play it off coolly. - "It was for educational purposes."

- "Yeah right." - Mingyu snorted, which instantly earned him a glare from the younger girl.

The round continued, with several embarrassing revelation and stories but overall it was nothing more than harmless fun. The general mood seemed to get better, despite Jungkook and Sana's silence for most parts.

...Until Baekhyun's turn, that was.

- "I have never kissed anyone in this room."

Obviously this question was meant to target the lovebirds - Namjoon and Jeongyeon. In addition, Eunwoo and Dahyun also had a kissing scene when they starred in a romantic drama together. Baekhyun smirked. This was what they usually called "Killing two birds with one stone".

But damn did it caused even more damage than what he had expected.

In fact, everyone in the room except for him gulped down their drink.

- "Okayyy apparently I missed out a looot." - Baekhyun looked around with a bewildered expression etched onto his face. He was certainly not alone though. Several others were glancing around awkwardly.

Yeri squinted her eyes at Sana. It didn't escape her notice that the girl also took a quick sip from her cup. Unlike some of her friends who were still confused about the situation, Yeri was always well informed about everything that happened at their school. She knew Mingyu and Jeongyeon kissed due to the spin-the-bottle game they played before Namjoon came into the picture. As for Jungkook, he had his with her when they were drunk at a friend's party last year so it wasn't surprising neither. Then what about Sana? While it was possible that Sana might have been one of Jungkook's venture considering how they basically lived in the same house, the fact that Taehyung also drank raised much suspicion.

- "Oh boy, things are getting heated up in here." - Dahyun forced a nervous laugh. - "Well, I'm getting drunk because of this game. We should change to something else."

- "Right. How about Truth or Dare?" - Mingyu suggested.

There was no opposition, since everyone just wanted to move on from the uncomfortable moment quickly.

- "It's my turn then." - Yeri instantly took the chance. - "Sana, truth or dare?"

It took Sana a second to realize that Yeri decided to address her of all people. An uneasy feeling suddenly filled her guts.

- "Um... I think I've had a little too much already. Maybe I..."

- "Aww, but you can't run away from a challenge!" - Yeri mock pouted. - "Just this one, then I'll let you get your beauty rest afterwards."

- "She's right. You should at least join a round." - Baekhyun encouraged.

- "Yes!" - Mingyu grinned and gave her a thumb up - "Don't worry, it'll be fun!"

Sana was torn. Yeri was definitely up to something. However, it was bad enough that her mood affected everyone during dinner, hence she didn't want to ruin this again.

- "Alright." - Sana finally sighed. - "I'll pick dare then."

That way, Sana thought she would at least be safe from answering any question that might end up exposing what happened between her and Jungkook.

- "Great." - Yeri smirked, as if she already anticipated that answer. - "Well, I dare you to kiss a person in the room. The same one that you've kissed before."
