She didn't know for how long she was laying there and she couldn't care enough to move. Her entire body felt numb and she didn't feel in control of it. It felt like she wasn't in it anymore.

She felt herself standing up from the ground without actually wanting to. She made her way down the hill across the graveyard without wanting to move a muscle to begin with. In a struggle to regain control over her own body, she almost got hit by a car.

"Ai, watch where you are going, would you?" she heard a familiar deep voice and was grateful it was him of all people.

"Well if you knew how to drive in the first place..." she hissed out without wanting to and felt dread filling up her body more than ever before. What was going on?

"Are you okay? You seem on edge," he asked, his blue eyes filled with concern.

"I'm fine," she deadpanned and despite her raging wish to yell out "No I'm not fine, please help me," her lips remained sealed after that, her body moving on its' own accord. She wanted to scream and run from the nightmare her life had turned into. There was someone in her head and it wasn't her.

One last glance back to Caleb confirmed that he had believed her, as he was already driving away from her. It stung but she had to remind herself that it was her who drove him away. Or at least someone in her head did it.

In the back of her mind she could hear Jay's voice quietly calling her name. Comforted by his presence, she found the power to fight the force controlling her body and after a few agonising minutes, she managed to overpower it. She felt her body again and her thoughts were just hers again. Well, not really.

"Didn't know this was happening to you too," she heard his soft voice, making her feel safe in an instant.

"You know I can hear you right?" he continued, chuckling softly, making her realise she was being too obvious about her feelings for him. "Stop being so reckless with your thoughts about me, you will get yourself exposed," he teased and she rolled her eyes despite him not being able to see it.

"Well apart from the fact that you are a freaking menace most of the time, I do quite like you," she teased, knowing she had no means to hide her emotions any longer with the object of her affections reading her every thought.

"Now I really need to see you. Can you come pay me a visit?" he asked and she could hear a bit of lightness back in his tone. "Your place?" she asked and after his confirmation, she headed off to the docks. "I'll be right over," she said before she closed her mind from him.
