She felt a gentle hand running through her hair and she knew right away that it was Claire. "Is this what heaven feels like?" she mumbled softly. She could hear Claire's laughter that was mixed with tears. "Welcome back, baby," she said with a trembling voice as she kissed her forehead and even though Aisha's eyesight was still foggy from the sudden light, she could see her face filled with pain she wasn't able to hide anymore, while her lips formed a soft smile, so beautiful and angelic it get her thinking she did in fact die and go to heaven.

"But the forest...the voices...?" Aisha muttered, disoriented. She wanted to get up and run but the pain was too strong. She fell back onto the pillow with a whine. "You were hallucinating babe, there is no forest," Claire whispered, resuming the stroking her hair to calm her down. "I love you," she murmured gently, kissing the corner of Aisha's lips. "I love you too," came an immediate response, followed by another soft kiss.

Doors flew open, revealing Lucas and Alina. "She is awake," Claire informed them without lifting her gaze from the brunette.

"Thank god," Alina exclaimed, rushing towards the bed.

"Were you doubting Claire's medical skills, sugarplum?" Lucas laughed as he made his way to the bed Aisha was on, and sat on its' edge.

"To be fair, I was doubting them too," Claire admitted quietly, biting her lip to stop it from quivering. She looked at Aisha as if she hadn't seen her in years as the brunette in question tried to figure out the severity of the situation.

"Okay, fill me in," she requested, unable to reach any conclusions on her own

"After you got shot..." Claire started but was overtaken by her emotions and had to stop as she finally her mask crumble to dust, revealing the true extend of her ache, tears already falling before she buried her face into Aisha's chest, sobbing uncontrollably.

Without commenting on it, Lucas picked up where she had stopped. "Well let's just say Claire was pissed and killed the guy right away. We never met him before but he had the same tattoo as the three guys that attacked us the other day. We figure they weren't expecting us so soon...probably because of Jay, I guess they didn't think we will leave him behind so fast and didn't put more people in the cabin for ambush which is the only reason we are all alive right now. As for Jay, I suspect they have him captured and he can't reach out to us since they are blocking his mind. But we all feel that he is alive and we will figure out how to help him. Anyway, the finger we got the other day apparently belonged to Jessica, who you had the chance to see and also I think you met her in New York... may she rest in peace. Well you got shot so we were thinking about taking you to the hospital but it would have been too risky, so Claire managed to get the bullet out and she determined that no vital organs were injured so we stitched you up and got you on the first plane to anywhere in Europe. It turns out the first plane was to France, so welcome to Paris."

In that moment, Claire lifted her head up to meet Aisha's gaze. "Don't ask how we got you on the plane unconscious."

"I wasn't planning to," she chuckled. "I'm so tired," she whined softly, feeling her eyelids burning. "Rest, babe," Claire positioned her head against her chest and stroked her hair gently until her demon started showing her dreams, creating an illusion of sleep.
