The following weeks passed in a blur of grief, police interviews and pointless conversations with her dad who was later charged with her mother's murder.

She was left alone in the big house she once called home but grew to hate over the past decade. She felt lonelier than ever which contradicted with her head being filled with entities fighting to overpower her every waking moment. She had realised that there was more than one voice but only one seemed to be powerful enough to fight for dominance with her. It terrified her to imagine what would have happened if it won.

She knew she had to go back to school come Monday. It hurt and her chest felt like it was collapsing onto itself but she couldn't grieve any longer. Grieving was a luxury reserved for those who didn't have to carry on.

Sound of a text message dragged her out of her head. Reluctantly, she glanced over to her phone, seeing it was Jay, wanting her to go outside. Why did he always want to meet at such ungodly hours was beyond her but since she couldn't sleep, the difference between 2am and 2pm became blurry. So she decided to go see what he wanted. She put on a shirt and some faded jeans as she rushed out of her house.

There he was, leaning against s street lamp nonchalantly. His lips formed a big smile as his eyes collided with hers and she instantly smiled back.

"Hello beautiful." he sighed out, fixing his eyes on her. "Cheesy," she laughed, nudging his shoulder playfully. He laughed back taking her hand in his as if it was second nature to him. "Let's go for a walk?" he suggested and she nodded. as they slowly made their way down the street, he broke the silence, pointing at the sky above them.

"Look at the stars...do you see how Jupiter is watching over the Moon?"

"Why am I even talking to you?" she groaned in fake annoyance, rolling her eyes.

His mouths formed a grin as he faced her, forcing her to pull into a stop right in front of him. He brushed a stray strand of hair from her face as he said: "I may not know much about the stars, but I see the entire universe in your eyes."

Before she could groan at his cheesiness, he brought his lips to hers for a few seconds before gently pulling away. His lips formed a shy smile while she stared at him, stunned from the kiss. She found herself longing for so much more so she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling his lips against her once again. She could feel his smile forming against her lips and felt her lips pulling into a smile as well, making it impossible to continue the kiss. The pulled away, foreheads touching, smiles still on their faces. "You are a dork," she whispered against his lips and he chuckled before kissing her again.
