Where are we going?

When they finally joined the two siblings and Jay, Claire had already filled them in.

"We could run away, all of us," they heard Lucas' suggest. Aisha could nearly imagine Claire's internal struggle to tell him she had already thought of that. She bit her cheek in vain attempt to supress a smile, but realised how futile it was when Alina elbowed her, smirking up at her.

"You don't have to run, I'll run alone," stated Jay, just as Aisha was about to have a silent fight with Alina over her teasing. His comment threw her off enough to forgo that in order to actively participate in a conversation.

"If it's all of us, we can keep you in check. It wouldn't be much of a run if you leave a trail of bodies behind you," she reminded him, earning a nod from Claire. "She is right, Jay, you are a danger to many if you don't learn how to control your demons. You need our help."

"You could also just kill me," Jay continued after a few seconds of silence. "But I really don't want to die just yet, you know?"

"No one is dying," Claire stopped him, visibly relieved that he didn't agree with Aisha's plan to just kill him. "I'll just let my client know it ain't happening."

"What if you say yes and we stage the death? We can't die from suicide right? So if Jay is the one who pulls the trigger you can say he is dead and then we can run away without worrying about someone else finding him," suggested Lucas but before he was even done talking, Claire was already shaking her head.

"You are toying with my reputation here. And what about the cops and the body and all that, far too much would be on the line. I say we just run. We will fight off the other killers."

"Where are we going?" Aisha asked, determined to support Claire.

"Home," Lucas suggested, making Aisha's eyes snap to him. "Lucas I hope you are joking," she nearly choked on her saliva as the image started to rise in her mind; an old house that held so many secrets, its façade that had lost more paint than it held. The velvet curtains that moved along with the wind that blew through shattered windows, making it look like ghosts were having a party in its' holds. Doors that were hanging on the few threads of their hinges, screeching as you opened them...

"No, he is right. No one will look for us in a city that doesn't even exist anymore," Claire turned to Aisha with a soft look, and hugged her from behind. "Don't worry, I'll distract you whenever you'll need," she whispered before gently kissing the top of her head.

Aisha sighed, giving in right away. She would do much more for a distraction from Claire than sleep in a haunted house.

"I'll go pack then," Lucas declared, turning on his heel, while Alina kept grinning in Aisha's direction. The brunette rolled her eyes at her and smiled, but her smile faded as soon as she saw Jay coming towards her.

"Aisha, can I have a word alone?"
