Unraveling Witch

Feudal Japan?

I woke up like the flip of a light switch. Above me where four narrow stone walls with vines going up and down it. The small square opening at the top showed a beautiful blue sky. I got up, readjusting my bag and grabbed my broom before crotching down. With one mighty leap I jumped out of the hole and onto the grass floor above.

"Holly shit, where am I?" I questioned.

"Who the heck are you!?" A voice yelled behind me. I whirled around to find a man and woman standing close together beside the well I had jumped out of. The man had white hair and golden eyes with white dog ears on his head. He was wearing this red outfit but lacked any shoes. I quickly concluded he was half dog demon. The woman beside him had dark hair and she wore more modern clothing.

"I could ask you the same question. Where am I?" I questioned sitting back down on the lip of the well.

"Feudal Japan, how did you come from the bone eaters well?" The woman asked coming to stand in front of me. Feudal Japan? Why, of all places would I be sent here?

"A time witch sent me. You must be the priestess she told me about. I can feel your spiritual power." I said giving her a once over.

"You are right, why were you sent back?" She asked.

"Kagome! Don't trust her! Can't you tell she's a witch?" He scolded pushing her behind him. Next thing I knew I had a giant sword pointed at me.

"Really? Just because I'm a witch you're going to automatically assume I'm bad? Please tell me you're not going to try and burn me at the stake." I said keeping calm.

"Inuyasha! She's got a point you know!" The girl that I now knew as Kagome deffended.

"Oh yeah? When was the last time you met a good witch? I say we get rid of her." He snapped moodily.

"I say we don't and say we did. Look, I've come because I was born too powerful for my time. My mother didn't want to kill me so she gave me to my disbanned aunt and uncle. Once I awoken on my thirteenth birthday I was sent to a church untill I was sixteen. Next was a gypsy house for four months. After that I was on my own to roam the streets. Of course, things felt my presence and didn't like it. So I've been attacked by nearly every single type of supernatural creature. Please, let me go. I came here to live my life freely. I do not mean anyone harm, I have never taken a mortal life." I begged. I was here for a minute and was already beening threatened. At least my time didn't have people pointing swords at me!

"Says you!" Inuyasha huffed.

"I believe her." Kagome said placing a hand on his sword.

"Come on!"

"No Inuyasha! I really think she is telling the truth!" She said leaving no room for argument. He put away his sword grumbling then crossed his arms. "My name is Kagome and this is Inuyasha. Sorry about him, he's just grumpy because you popped up unexpectedly. You see, that well has been closed off for three years, until today when me and you passed through it." She explained with a kind smile.

"Peculiar, my name is......" I paused and for a minute I was going to say Stacy but then I had an abrupt change of heart. "Helena. I am a witch from North America." I said with a small smile.

"How do you speak Japanese then?" She asked.

"It's a gift, I'm Omnitongued. Any language spoken, I can understand and speak it back fluently." I explained.

"Oh, interesting. Would you like to come to the village with us?" She offered.

"I would love to." I smiled. She and the half demon then lead me to a village. It was definitely primitive, I could smell the poor conditions of the towns folk. Then again, that was good health for them. Besides, I smelt a few people from my time who smelt more ripe than them. We walked into a hut where an old woman and little fox demon where cooking.
