Unraveling Witch

I've Got You!

I woke up in a dark moist cover that seeped Sesshomaru's aura. I knew instantly I was in his mouth pressed between his tongue and the roof of his mouth. I rolled over and he opened up. I made quick work of crawling out and flying up to his head. "How long was I out?" I asked.

'A few minutes.' He said.

"Why am I secretly disappointed?" I sighed heavily. I looked around and saw the same depressing and fear inspiring world of torture. It was lovely to wake up to, note my sarcasm.

'We most continue.' Sesshomaru said continuing to walk forward. There was more souls in despair around us they were all going towards some stone temple. As we walked beside the lines of people I searched the crowds. Then suddenly I just got this familiar feeling. Then as we got closer I could no longer deny it.

"I can feel her! She's here! Look! Over there in the crowd! I see her!" I exclaimed pointing at Rin. Her head was down but she was wearing the clothes she died in. There was no mistaking it!

"RIIINNN!" I called out on an urge of both of us. Her head popped up and she looked around. Once she caught sight of us she started sprinting after us.

"Lord Sesshomaru! Helena you came for me!" She screamed I flew down and ran to her. Once we were close we both lodged and caught each other into a tight hug. She began to sob into me and I quickly got her to return with me to Sesshomaru. As I was about to get her onto my stick a voice called out.

"You seek to avoid my judgment?" I turned to see a giant six armed woman. Her eyes were ripped out and her nose seemed to have rotted off. Other than that and her blue tinged skin she looked like a regular female. Well, she was really tall. She was peaking her head from behind the stone temple. She was obviously sitting down too.

"I seek to retrieve her soul! She is not ready for the afterlife." I proclaimed.

"No soul can be taken from here by a witch and her familiar. You have sealed your fate." She said getting up. The stone temple around her crumbled as she stood through it and souls were flung away.

"Helena!" Rin exclaimed.

"Sesshomaru..... I THINK IT'S TIME TO LEAVE!" I yelled getting Rin on the stick. I flew her up on Sesshomaru's head. The second we were on Sesshomaru took to the skies and we booked it out of there. The Judge reached for us but we were out of bounds and slowly we emerged from the red atmosphere of hell. The second we were out Rin turned into a white ball. I quickly grabbed her soul and shoved it into the bottle around my neck.

'INUYASHA! OPEN THE PORTAL ONCE AGAIN!' I screamed out mentally focusing on the Half Demon as hard as I could. I felt his subconscious spike at my intrusion and then the message was relayed through his conscious thoughts. I was jittery holding onto Sesshomaru's fur as he flew away. Then a God awful loud squawk pierced the air. My head snapped back and I groaned.

"Come the fuck on!" I yelled. A giant bird Demon was flying for us, fast. It's beak was long and printed with jagged teeth poking out. It had one black eye and it's feathers where dripping in blood. Wait, they weren't dripping blood they where made of blood! "How scary, you know the shit down there has desensitized me to this kind of thing" I sighed heavily. A portal to the mortal realm opened but that bird was coming in hot. We could just outrun it but then we would have to fight it. That wasn't an option up there because once a hell Demon reaches the mortal plane...lets just say they go ham. Not only that but they bring a very curptive aura with them. Animals, humans and demons alike would be driven mad or to suicide in a second with in a radius that I didn't know because I don't want to find out! There was only the choice of fighting it before passing through but I couldn't risk Rin.

Looks like I'm going to be the heroic idiot! I rip the necklace off of my neck then knot it and Sesshomaru's fur together and tightly as I could before standing up. I got on my stick and pushed off his back. "Leave and let that portal shut once you're through! I'll have Inuyasha open another once it's safe!" I yelled.

'No, we can fight this thing before going back.' Sesshomaru protested.

"And risk Rin's soul? That bottle has been specifically prepped in containing a soul and allowing it to survive under the noses of spirits and other things that steal them! If it breaks then Rin will be compromised!" I yelled. The bird was trying to still get to Sesshomaru and the portal flying right past me. I quickly focused throwing a hand out pausing it in its flight. Effectively I was levitating the hell bird.

Sesshomaru flew through the portal and it closed behind him. I released the hell bird from my hold and it swooped around pissed at me. I wasn't so concerned about fighting it but now with Sesshomaru out of the realm I was cut from him and our power merge. Now it was just me and I was in essence a human. Which means I had several things to worry about. Stamina, I wasn't an endless supply of energy, I need sleep and food. Presence, with Sesshomaru my soul was sort of cloaked in his demonic aura and that even went for my spiritual powers. As much as lesser beings would shy away from me for that fact, there would be plenty of other's who wish to snuff me out for it. Why was I the one stuck here? Would it be better to have let Sesshomaru stay? Damn me and my bonding mentality. Familiar are there to serve as a well of energy and protection. Yet Witches held a sentiment towards them and tend to keep them out of dangerous situations if at all possible. Oh well, I'm not a time witch. I can't go back and redo it over. At least here I will be able to hone in on my dark magic.
