MADE THIS AVATAR IN AN APP! IT'S AS CLOSE TO WHAT I ENVISION WHAT HELENA WOULD LOOK LIKE! SO THERE YOU ARE! SONG ABOUT KILLING MERMAIDS, SEEMED APPROPRIATE TO ME!
I felt a sudden spike in the ocean. In fact it was starting to exit the ocean. I gasped shooting up in my bed. For several minutes I was hyper aware of the presence of Merfolk coming from the sea. This wasn't such an unusual occurrence. Sometimes they enjoyed walking around the dry folk. Yet, I suddenly felt a pang of dread in my gut. I threw my blankets from my body and scrambled up from my futon.
I padded softly across the cold wooden floors and silently slide my door open. I peaked my head out and looked down both halls seeing no one. It was deserted as the servants were going to sleep or doing other nightly chores. Of course I felt the presence of guards all around me but that never made me feel safe. The door to Sesshomaru's room opened but he didn't poke his head out or anything. It was a silent offer to relieve the loneliness of the midnight hour.
I walked in a little apprehensive at first because this was his room for now. Sure I had been in his room a few times but never ever for long. I found him sitting behind the small desk placed for his use. I quickly sat down at the corner of his futon. I was becoming more and more comfortable being in here thanks to his aura.
"It is improper to sit upon another's bed without permission." He mused lightly still looking down t his stack of papers.
"If I offended you with my assumptions I apologize. I must be becoming too comfortable around you in taking suck liberties." I said wit a small smirk not making a move to get off of his bed.
"What troubles you?" He asked.
"The fish have grown legs and are upon dry land." I sighed.
"You worry they could be coming for you." He deduced.
"Yes, I don't feel like dealing with Merfolk now." I groaned.
"Should they come for you they would first have to get through the strong hold and myself." He casually dismissed. I relaxed and laid back onto his bed. That was a great relief to hear from him. Sure it was a given but spoken words can always ease insecurity. I closed my eyes and basked in his demonic energy. It was like an old baby blanket or favored stuffed animal. Sleep was already trying to fog over my mind but I jerked back up feeling the Merfolk move further into land. "Do you not trust me to protect you or my subjects?" Sesshomaru scolded. I looked to him and ran a hand down my face.
"I trust you, I don't trust them." I assured him looking out the tiny window.
"Sleep, all is fine." He urged and I did as he said. His aura and strong yet gentle voice lulling me back to the bed. I closed my eyes and shut my perception beyond my human ones down. Sleep, all is at peace for now.
For now.
For now.
For now.
For........
Screams echoed into the room. I jumped up finding myself alone. I blinked and found myself seeing through Sesshomaru's eyes. He was bursting through Riki's and Rin's room. Rin was shielding the baby from on coming attacks. She had a sharp piece of coral shoved in her shoulder. There was already a Merfolk bleeding from to death on the floor.
"I knew it!" I yelled bursting through their door.
"Rin!" Riki yelled ushering her to the bed.
"I'm fine, please put our son back to bed. He is upset." She huffed handing the baby over to Riki weakly.
"Shit Rin, those bastards were aiming to kill you! You're poisoned." I grumbled feeling her skin. She was already feeling clamy. I made her lean forward and grabbed the coral sticking out of her back. I removed it in one straight jerk then pressed my hand against the opening. Rin yelped at the sudden pain but didn't do anything else.
