Unraveling Witch

The Heat Patrol

It was like how it was in the beginning. Just Rin, Sesshomaru, Jake and myself. We walked the long dusty road that lead away from his castle. My broom flew beside me barring our burden. The second the castle was out of view it was like a weight was lifted. All the complications were brushed away. I had woken up late last night and ate like a pig almost. Then almost immediately I was told to prepare myself for the voyage.

"I'm so happy Helena, Riki has said once I return he will wish to mate me at once!" Rin whispered.

"That is a good thing to be happy about. Mating the one you love is a joy only they can give you. Cherish it for your life will flutter by before you realize it." I said.

"I know, I just can't wait! He says he doesn't care if I produce half breeds! He'll love them and take care of them long after I'm gone because they hold a piece of me. I hope you find a demon just like him." Rin gushed.

"I do too, though I won't produce half breeds." I smiled.

"Do you not want children? Or do you not want a demon mate?" Rin asked.

"No, I wish to have a demon mate. I also wish to have children. You see Rin, I'm not really human. The blood that runs through my veins isn't human. When a witch like myself has children with a demon the males are full blooded and the females are witches. However, should I reproduce with a human both children will be like me." I explained.

"Well, that will help in finding a mate." Jaken astonished.

"She's powerful, pretty, and smart. She doesn't need anything else to attract a mate." Rin said.

"But I'm looking for my true familiar. I have no need of a mate until then." I said.

"Why not mate your familiar?" Rin suggested having no idea that the familiar in question was three feet in front of us. I ended up in a fit of laughter. What a silly girl!

"Oh Rin, it's complicated." I said once I calmed down.

"How? Why not? Anko was really good to you until.... You know." Rin said.

"He wasn't my true familiar. He was attracted to me by my power. It wasn't real attraction but it grew to real friendship. My true familiar won't be attracted to me by my power. He will eventually come to accept or trust me. Also, it would be I calling him master. I have been told he is more powerful than me. That he's a proud soul. I would sooner kneel to him than him kneel to me." I said looking at Lord Sesshomaru's back.

"Oh....I still don't see why you couldn't mate him." Rin stated.

"You have been given a clue? What was it?" Jake asked.

"He would be proud as a great beast. He would also be a dog. Anko was a jackal which is close enough. He was also rather weak. Had there been weak dog demons like him I would've had a fan club." I said.

"Have you no shame!" Jake blurted making me look down at him. A fiery rage was burning in my veins.

"I have no shame because I do nothing to bring me shame. You are a favored person of mine Jaken. I will let you off with a warning. Don't.....use......such....insults on me.....again." I said making him shrink back with nearly every word.  We continued onward in deadly silence. We made camp that night and for aged for food. Lord Sesshomaru left to wander restlessly, his heat kicking in now. In four days he won't be able to be around us. His beast would be in control for the remainder of his heat. I needed to get him to kiss me before then.

We arrived at the village in three days time. After I visited with everyone for a while I left. Jake and Rin stayed behind. I needed to relocate Lord Sesshomaru. I followed the direction his aura was in and flew on my broom. I found him resting against a tree far off into the woods. I landed right before him and bowed.

"Why are you here?" He asked.

"I have visited with those I wished to. Now I will let Rin take the spotlight. She has missed them and is eager to tell them the news." I said.

"Leave." He demanded. I blinked but knew I couldn't argue. So I left but stayed a good distance near him.

"Stubborn oaf. He will come to me then." I decided. The next two days I would practically circle him like a shark. If he asks why I will simply say I wished not to be lifted behind but didn't want to disobey. He should sense my presence and surely after awhile he will seek me out.
