"Oh finally!" I groaned feeling the otherworldly power radiating from a mountain. We landed towards the middle of the rising mountain where a dirt road lead upwards. We walked up to the top seeing a giant wooden gate and two men on either side. Both were blind but they knew full well who and what was coming.
"Such beings as yourself are not welcome to these sacred grounds. Turn back and never return." The elder man on the right warned.
"Gate keepers please allow us passage. I seek Talia's spear!" I begged.
"The ancient relic is to remain with it's owner on the other side for all eternity. We tell you once more, depart from this mountain." The other elder said.
"I'm sorry but I can't do that gate keepers. I am on a quest sent from a time witch. For whatever reason she foresees that the future is in need of that relic in the mortal plane once more." I pleaded my cases. I didn't want to fight theses guys. They look at each other and it was an oddity. How the heck....wait why am I questioning this? I'm a mother fucking witch I have done stranger things than that.
"Very well, we will grant you access." The elder on the right nodded relaxing. What? They really going to just let us pass over all that sacred mountain bullshit.
"What's the catch?" I asked flatly.
"Even with a burning sun, the dark planet sits in waiting. Go forth but beware that there will be those who object to you violently. Violence is begotten of violence and it consumes all." The elder on the left said. I frowned thinking it over before I finally caught on.
"Hope you're up for a nonstop assault Sesshomaru. The entities inside aren't going to be very happy about us coming I to their plane of existence. I'm talking angles, demi God's, and holy warriors. It's going to be like a reversed Dantes Inferno." I looked to Sesshomaru.
"Let's go." He said walking forward towards the gate. I sighed and stepped in beside him. The second we got a few feet from the gate it sparked to life. No longer could we see to the other side of the gate. Instead it was litter all the other side we were seeing now. I took a deep breath and walked past the gates with him. I looked back and saw the opening gone looks like we were going to have to find our own way out of this heaven hole.
The sky was bright pink and filled with so much light. There was no sun but it was so bright. Lush green grass and wild flowers filled the endless plains of this world. It was cheerful but there was a white fog over the world. Dulling everything in the distance into a calming white haze.
"Nice place." I remarked looking around.
"Hn." Sesshomaru grunted looking to me.
"Oh yeah I'm the leader of this operation! Okay, I will feel Talia's power and so should you since it is usable to both human and demon! I guess we should take to the skies. It would be fast than on foot." I said sitting on my stick. Sesshomaru lifted off the ground but my feet stayed firmly planted. "SESSHOMARU! MY POWERS ARE NULL AND VOID HERE!" I yelled aggravated. He flew back down to me as I got off my stick. Without a word he wrapped an arm around my waist and took off again.
In surprise I latched onto him but soon found that his MokoMoko was acting like a platform. I planted my feet down firmly and let out a sigh. It was odd being in the air with no control. I actually kind of liked it. I could relax fully and not have to worry about the direction, altitude or speed. Actually, I was feeling....human.it was like how I was before I awakened. I felt raw, naked even but it didn't make me nervous. I wanted to open my arms wide and embrace the entire world. I can see why souls come here to live in peace for all eternity.
It was very conflicting for me since I was raised Christian. Then again maybe this is like a resting place or limbo for good souls until final judgment is passed. Maybe the Dantes Inferno reference was closer than I was thinking to the truth. It wasn't long before there was a surge of pure energy. I was jolted back to reality when a sacred arrow was flown past us. Sesshomaru dodged with minimal movement and speed up. I looked down onto the ground and saw a man. I couldn't see his face much because of his straw hat he wore. It was obvious he was a monk.
