Me and Rin where in the forest just enough for privacy. Rin sat eagerly awaiting my move. I had the broom stick between my legs and was gripping it with both hands. I gave a undignified sigh and closed my eyes. 'Just think about flying, I want to fly.' I thought.

I opened my eyes as my feet lifted off the ground. I stopped myself from going higher then a few feet. Rin's eyes went wide as did her open mouth smile. I glided forward and stopped just in front of Rin. I then let myself lower to the ground. The second I did Rin was up hopping about me.

"Wow! That is so cool! Rin thought it would be silly to use a broom to fly but it's really amazing! I wish to fly on a broom stick!" She exclaimed.

"You will never be able to fly alone, but you may fly with me." I said.

"Really?" Rin asked eyes glistening with hope.

"Come, sit in front of me." I directed scouting down the broom stick. She threw a leg over the broom and I wrapped my arms around her to grip the stick. Her kimono had been pulled up to her thighs which was highly inappropriate for this era. She didn't seem to mind being as it was just the two of us. "Hold tightly." I said.

"Rin will!" She chirrped grabbing my arms. I then lifted up into the air. Rin gasped feeling her legs leave the earth. I rose above the tree tops and smiled as she gasped at the veiw below. "I haven't flew since Lord Sesshomaru dropped me off at the village!" She gasped.

"Well, perhaps I shall fly with you every now and then. Did you ever get to touch the clouds?" I asked having a yerning to touch them myself.

"No, when I was in the air I didn't get to choose where we went or what we did." Rin said.

"Well, today it shall be different." I said making us rise at a faster pace towards the clouds. Rin gripped my arms tighter with a surprised yelp. This only made me smile. I pludged us through the clouds. The second we entered our world became wet and void of all color but white. When me emerged from the top I flew us over the clouds low enough that our feet dragged through them.

"This is exciting! Can you drop down fast?" Rin giggled. I immediately let us nose dive down to the earth. Rin shifted sliding back against me but I didn't budge. I corkscrewed as we decended making Rin scream in delight. I pulled up before the tree tops and zoomed above them. The speed of which I was going had the branches swaying in the wind it caused. It was a daring move to do by myself let alone Rin. Yet I held every confidence in my ability to fly. I remember having dreams where it really felt like I was flying.

I had to keep my head lifted to avoid getting whipped in the face by Rin's hair. I made us do dounuts as we slowly whirled our way back over the clouds. I then weaved us back and fourth in and out of them. When I made us lower back to the ground I did so upside down. Both of us wrapped our legs around the broom stick.

Down below I saw a flash of red jump into the trees. I knew who that flash was without even needing to sense his aura. I righted up and flew up to float beside Inuyasha in the tree.

"You're flying on a broom stick? That's ridiculous." Inuyasha huffed.

"It is not! It was the most exciting flight of my life!" Rin exclaimed throwing her hands up in the air.

"I have to admit, I found the thought ludicrous as well. However, the power of flight is something I appreciate. Even if it's on a wooden stick used for cleaning." I mused.

"I wouldn't be caught dead on that thing flying!" Inuyasha spat. I smiled and turned us away from him so fast that the bristles of the broom slapped him in the face. "Hey!" He yelled but I was already ghosting over the ground weaving through the woods. "Get back you witch! Let's see how well you fly on that thing after I chop it to peices!" Inuyasha yelled hopping after us from tree to tree,
