I knew he was coming an hour before he arrived. Rin knew he was coming six minutes before he did. My ability to sense things have increased since coming to this world. Though, the demons didn't bother cloaking themselves as much and they held more power than the watered down ones of my time. Their blood wasn't diluted.

Kagome, Kaede, Inuyasha, Rin and I traveled to the edge of the woods. Rin had her things packed up and hanging on my broomstick beside my backpack. I was sitting sideways on my broom hovering just a few feet from the ground. Lord Sesshomaru landed in front of us. Him and Inuyasha shared a look but he quickly looked down to Rin.

"Rin, have you decided?" He asked.

"I have! I wish to be with you!" She said and looked back at me. "But I have a request if I may. Would you allow my teacher to follow? I have much to learn from her still!" Rin asked. I had to keep a smile from my face from Rin's flattery.

"YOU EXPECT LORD SESSHOMARU TO ALLOW NOT ONLY YOURSELF BUT A WITCH IN HIS PRESENCE?" Jaken began to rant.

"If she chooses." He said flicking his eyes to me finally. He looked at my broom and how far from the earth I was with mild intrigue. Jaken was stunted after that.

"Helena?" Rin asked.

"I will not leave a job half way done, I shall follow and teach you until there is no more for me to teach." I nodded.

"Be safe children." Kaede said.

"Goodbye Rin, I will miss you." Kagome said then hugged her.

"Be good kiddo." Inuyasha said folding his arms into his sleeves.

"Farewell to you all, thank you for your hospitality." I said.

"Ye are welcome." Kaede said.

"Inuyasha...." I said fishing into my pocket. I threw the dog wistle at him and he caught it. "Piss on it, stomp on it, use your sword on it, it holds no intrest to me now." I said.

"Keh, whatever." He said tucking it into his sleeve.

"By Helena, I wish you luck in your own training." Kagome said.

"Indeed, and good luck to you as well." I nodded.

"Come." Lord Sesshomaru said and turned around into the woods. Rin nodded and waved to everyone as did I. We then followed him where ever he was going.

"I can't believe this! You best not try anything with that fancy magic of yours! Lord Sesshomaru would never subcome to such trickery so don't waste your energy!" Jaken ranted.

"I have no intrest in using my magic against our Lord. I wish only to teach Rin." I huffed.

"Good! Now what exactly are you teaching that child anyways?" He asked.

"The path of a holy warrior! I am learning to fight demons and other dark creatures! I also have learned archery like Kagome!" Rin informed.

"What?! How stupid are you! The courts will not like a priestess in their mists!" Jaken beratted. I smirked knowing Rin was about to make his jaw drop.

"They won't like a human in their mists either. They won't even tolerate the human servants! I would be under peril in Lord Sesshomaru's castle either way. I have a means to defend myself, because Lord Sesshomaru won't be there every second to protect me against his people. I knew what I was choosing and prepared to deffend my choice." Rin snapped.

"Wh...well I......You've got a point." Jaken finally admitted in utter surprise. Rin gave me a pleased look and I returned her smile. We walked on and I meditated on the bond I felt just beyond my grasp. It never came any closer but it became a more prominent thing just out of my reach. I'm sure Lord Sesshomaru was beginning to feel this.

He didn't seem to try to reach out for it. He didn't know what it was, he would get curious eventually. I finally decided to speak out.

"Milord, I can fly with Rin. If we have a destination we can get there quicker by air. Unless we are just patrolling." I suggested.

"The latter." He said. I nodded and got off my broom. I then handed it to Rin and without my instruction she straddled it. I lifted it in the air and allowed her to fly along side me. Rin seemed more than content to be flying.

"Helena." She said after eyeing my bag for awhile. "You have something in your bag." She said.

"I have many things in my bag." I quirked an eyebrow at her.

"No!" She huffed in frustration. "I mean it's magical!"

"My spell book, this is the closest you've ever been to it. It's aura is very low, I'm impressed you noticed it at all." I mused.

"It was a faint tickle." She said. Looking at my bag still.

"It will do you little good but I know your curious nature. Go ahead and explore." I gave permission. She smiled and opened up my bag taking out the spell book. She flipped to the first page and frown. She flipped through all the the pages.

"Helena, there are so many different types of writing. All of which I don't understand!" She exclaimed.

"Omnitongued, remember?" I said.

"Oh, right. I forgot." She sighed thumbing through my book again. "Will you teach me a few languages?" She asked.

"I would if it was any use to you. You live in this country and speak the native tongue. Should for some reason you travel to foreign lands I will teach you theres. However, I don't see that in your future." I said with finality.

"Let me see." Jaken said hopping up onto the broom stick.

"Not like you would understand it." Rin said pulling it away.

"Let him." I advised before they fought over it. She pouted but let the imp take my book none the less. He grabbed it and quickly flipped thru the pages with intrest. Then he found a page that he seemed to be albe to read.

"This is Chinese! It's a spell of fertility?!" Jaken exclaimed.

"Yes, fertility of nature." I corrected.

"It's to ward against famine." Jaken concluded.

"Yes." I nodded. He flipped throught he rest of the book and then gave it back to Rin. She gave it another once over before placing it back into my bag. When we stopped for the night I gathered fire wood with Rin. Once it was piled I used my power to set it a blaze.

I then gave her some food from my backpack to eat. It saved her the hassle of foraging. Afterwards we laid down, me in my sleeping bag and her in a few blankets. She feel asleep before I did. I meditated until I fell asleep.

In my sleep I wondered from my body. My first reacrion was to stare at my sleeping self then at Rin. After that I approached Jaken who was dosing off as well. The last person to check on with Lord Sesshomaru. He was sitting with a knee up and eyes closed. When I stood before he his eyes opened. He looked up at me but I knew he couldn't see me. Yet, his senses were telling him I was there. His own spiritual energy reached out and enveloped me.

"Witch." He said calmly. I nodded my head dispite him not being able to see me. He closes his eyes again and I walked away to wonder the woods until dawn. Along the way I worked on picking things up in this state. It was frustrating work but I was determined. While I worked I thought about Lord Sesshomaru. He was cold and distance by nature. How the hell was I going to convince him to kiss me and make a contract? Maybe I'll reverse the contract somehow. Maybe then he'll find it acceptable, only time would tell.
