Now that I had the title of alpha female with in the Demon pack of the west I noticed that a was treated as such. Sure before I wasn't disrespected or anything but now the servants always stopped to bow to me just as they did for Sesshomaru. Koishe learned of my new title and freaked out on me.

After three days of return from patrol with my new title I was really tired of it all. Jaken followed me around a long with Koishe. Unless I was with Sesshomaru working. That was the only time I seem to be able to justify telling them to give me some space. I worked like I always worked, dedicated. That is until I found a letter from Sesshomaru's mother. I looked at it and then to Sesshomaru in wonder.

"Oi, your mother sent a letter. It got pushed into my pile." I alerted him to the mistake.

"Then read it and respond accordingly." He said not even looking at me from his work. I raised my eyebrows in surprise. Wasn't his and his mother's business personal in some way? He never had me read and respond to a letter from her before. So why is he doing it now? What was really making me go crazy was he knew I was burning with confusion over this and he wasn't doing shit to clear it up! With an aggravated huff I looked down at the scroll and began to read it.

Dearest honorable son,

Your mother was quite surprised to hear that not only had you allowed Kimi to challenge Helena but she had also forced her into submission. It is obvious that she knows very little about our customs have mounted her. Although I find that horribly amusing. I am joyous to find that she is turning out to be more than a proxy mate.

Yet I can't not turn a blind eye to this. When I stepped down from my position of alpha female I made sure the next alpha was fit to lead. I fear Helena while being a strong Witch, lacks the knowledge and experience to properly lead. So I, your loving mother, is willing to take in your intended and teach her.

I read it over and over again before looking up to Sesshomaru. I was kind of at a loss for words. To be under the teaching of another? No to be under the teaching of his mother? I was at a loss here. Did he know what was in this letter? He had to have, he did this on purpose.

"You are leaving it up to me to decide?" I asked turning my head to the side.

"No." He said as he wrote.

"No? Then why not simply tell me of your wishes Milord? What was your motive of letting me be the one to read your mother's letter?" I asked. I may know about his past but this right here didn't have a past reference.

"Because either way you would've agreed to go. I let you read it so that you knew of her intentions of her own hand." Sesshomaru I formed. Awe so at one hand he was kind of being a butt on the other he wanted me to look deeper into it.

"She called me your intended. She was also surprised you allowed Kimi to challenge me? We both know your mom is just short of desperate to see you take a mate. So she will be more inclined to misread your actions. Why must I know that which I already deduced?" I asked.

"You will leave in the morning. We will finish our work then retire to our bathing quarters. After you are fed you would be wise to get as much rest as you can. My mother will be testing your limits in everything." Sesshomaru ordered. Okay, he indirectly answered my question. Why do I know feel like there is something I am either going to really hate happening. Or it's just going to surprise the fuck out of me. I hope I'm not left feeling stupid, I hate that feeling so much!

"Yes Milord." I nodded in agreement despite a gut feeling I was having. He wouldn't tell me either way and I wasn't about to invade his mind to find out. Of course this was only because I had my mental barriers up as far as they could go. To get into his mind I had to take down my barriers. It ate away at my mind as I worked but I kept my cool.
