Every meal, he showed up to ensure I was eating. He then said that he considered me as a member of his pack. Which was a step towards accepting the bond thing. He had all my crap moved back to my study. He made sure I trained every day, no excuses. Not that I would've made them.

Slowly I opened back up. Looking back I wish I could strangle myself. What the heck possessed me or something? That didn't feel like me, not truly. Good grief, how the mighty fall. I wish I could blame a period on it or something.

Then there was Rin, sweet Rin. She was to be mated in a week. Riki had left to prepare his strong hold and the ceremony. The first time she walked into my room she looked so relieved to see something in my eyes other than a void. She sat one my bed with me and leaned her head on my shoulder. We didn't speak about what all she had seen. I was thankful, for I had no need to dwell on the past.

The sun inside me was starting to shine through clearly. It was a warm trickle to my very soul. I bathed in the light finding myself rocking softly in it's presence. Koishe was over joyed by my come back and we picked up like nothing happened.

I went back to my training, I talked to the children of the servants and prepared Rin for her mating. As the days passed she grew nervous. Then the day came when Sesshomaru, Rin, Jane and myself would leave with a few soldiers who had came from Riki's hold. They were more there to carry her crap.

"In the velvet darkness, of the blackest night. Blooming bright, there's a blooming star. No matter what or who you are." I sang softly to her as we walk to ease her jittery silence. She looked at me and smiled.

"I know that Helena, I just wish for you to always remember that too." She said still worried a little over me.

"Of course Rin, but my light is leaving to start her life with the love of her life." I said smiling kindly at her.

"I'll always be there for you! I hope you visit often as I will try to do the same!" Rin said. It was the hard part of this all for her. Now she was leaving Lord Sesshomaru and myself. Her attachment to Lord Sesshomaru was massive.

"Don't worry Rin, connections made between two can't ever dull. Even when stretched over distance because the heart and soul doesn't know the meaning of distance." I assured her. Then looked at the people walking with us before leaning in closer. "I'm going to request a big piece of paper. After I'm done keep it on the floor. Don't let anyone throw it away or damage it." I instructed.

"What will you be doing with this paper?" She asked.

"Magic, what else would I do? Leave an endearing note for you to read?" I huffed.

"Well, you could do both." She smiled.

"No, I have no need for that. Because I'll say my endearment now. Rin, you are a true friend and an outstanding student. I can see how you could melt the defense of such a cold demon such as Lord Sesshomaru. I will be with you whenever you need me. Even when you have passed I will find comfort in your children that will surely shine just as bright as you." I said heart felt fully.

"Helena.......That was...." Rin started then threw herself into a hug. She cried into my shoulder as we walked. "Thank you so much!" She sobbed. I bet her hair soothingly as we walked until she was ready to pull away.

"You will make a fine mate, human or not Rin." I assured her.

"I know Helena." She beamed at mention of being a mate. She really was head over heels for this guy. 'Should I threaten an eternity of torture unspeakable if he hurts her?' I wondered then looked ahead to Lord Sesshomaru. 'I might have already been beaten to the punch.' I concluded. Lord Sesshomaru had a weakness for Rin. I could see the fatherly manner he had towards her.
